Some advice needed

Guys I accidentally introduced some tirewet (tire shine) into the soap water while washing my car. Suffice to say I did not notice until I was drying to car and could not get it to dry properly (this is when I noticed what had happened). Now, two car washes later there's still a dull residue that feels like WD40 all over the car. I have not been able to remove this at all from the body or from the windows. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can go about getting this removed it would be greatly appreciated.
Thx
Also is this in anyway bad for the clear coat on the car? I thought about using a bit of alcahol but I'm not really sure if thats a good idea.

The alcohol sounds like a great idea. 50/50 alcohol and water in a spray bottle. Spray it on and see if the residue comes off. What's the tirewet made of?

The stuffs designed to be resilient and this could be serious if it bonds with your paint. I read of one case online where the guy had to repaint the car..ikes. I'd call some professional detailers and see if they have any known solutions.

I would think a mild dawn solution would be able to break it down, since its an oily like residue. Then follow up with some sealant and wax.
