Hey everyone. I would like to know what kind of lighting do detailers use for IP colors? IP seems to be very hard to see swirls unless you have correct lighting and an angle.

So far i have this small 500w like that works ok, but i can only see swirls at a specific angle.

would this work for detailing and seeing swirls in my IP. thanks.

 

Even with 1000w you still need to look at light colors at an angle to see swirls. But it will be better than 500w.

 

If its that hard to see deep imperfections why worry about them. Just run it over with white pads and a finishing polish should bring gloss back.
