Leatherique

Hey I have Leatherique rejuvenating oil that I bought from DI (16oz) and it is like a thick brown oil which is what it looks like online. However, my friend bought a 32oz bottle from autogeek.net and his look weird. It look very watery and not like a thick fluid. His solution also doesn't have as strong of an odor.

Has anyone encounter this? Here is link to a youtube video that shows you an example of what I am talking about (although this is not out video I found it accidentally).

What the hell is going on? Did he get ripped off?

He bought the rejuvenating oil just like I did. The labels on the bottle are exactly the same.

"so what you're thinking is the 16oz is diluted to make 32oz bottles?"

I seems like it. It looks just like the youtube video i posted (though not my video).

The thinner stuff may be "Pristine Clean," labeled as rejuventator oil? You can put that stuff on vinyl, leather, etc as part of your normal maintenance/cleaning ritual. It protects and moisturizes a tad. Pristine clean is pretty watery.

The thicker stuff is the "Rejuvenator Oil" and it's something you do maybe every 6 months. You'd usually apply it to the leather seats and leave the car out in the sun for it to seep into the leather and moisturize while lifting up any dirt accumulation or other stuff that'll make the leather hard over time. The oil works really well, but be careful not to dump a lot on the perforated seats. I'd work it in with your hands (wear some gloves).

You use "Pristine Clean" after applying the oil and letting it sit. The PC stuff will clean the oil off and leave a nice matte finish.

It'd be interesting if a rip-off occured. The rejuvenator oil bought from leatherique is pretty thick.

Isn't pristine clean a whitish liquid? The content of the bottle i saw was like yellow brown, similar to leatherique rujivnating oil but more dilute.

Yeah this stuff is defintly not cloudy white. It seem like a poorly made leatherique rejuvinating oil. Too water

It may be diluted. I always buy from DI so I never have to worry about being ripped off.
