Dumb Question
Dumb Question
I'm completely new to this whole detailing thing. I just got my BO G37 coupe this week, and I previously only washed my car at the Super Suds (like once a year).
So my question is, is there any harm to just running a hose over my car really quick to knock the pollen off? I was thinking I'd just rinse it off and then dry it with a microfiber towel. Is there a reason I shouldn't do this between regular washes? The pollen is really bad where I'm at right now, and it'll be back within a couple of days and I don't want to do a full wash that often.

If you don't get the pollen and other dirt completely off by just rinsing alone (and you wont), you will grind it into the clear coat and leave swirls and scratches when yo dry it off even if you only use very light pressure.
Wash your car.
Wash your car.
The only really safe way to do it is wash the car. Or you can buy one of those electric leaf blowers to just blow the pollen off between washes. This is what I will do sometimes. But never just spray it down and wipe it off.

Or if you don't have the time to wash/dry your car, you can always purchase a waterless wash QD like Poorboys Spray and Wipe and use it with a couple of clean MF towels to remove the pollen.
