Where to take new car for sealant/detailing?
I've never detailed or applied wax etc myself. The dealer offered a paint protection plan (clear guard or something, forget the name) for a coating outside and inside, which I declined.
Read some threads here but its all DIY. I would like to take my new car to someone who can do the sealant/wax and do a good job at reasonable price. Can you recommend a place in south bay area?
Thanks

go to Autopia - Autopia Home (known for quality detailers) and look for detailers in your region. Most of them will come to you.

I read the clear bra thread. So is it better to get clear bra on hood/bumpers then some sealant on rest of car. And do you still need waxing on top of clear bra? Sorry lot of newbie questions I want to get something that will last years instead of needing regular detailing/waxing. Does that sound reasonable?

A clear bra's purpose to protect your car from rock chips, sealant protects your car from toxic acid (pigeon poop). Sealant should give you ~6 months protection, waxing about ~1-3 months. I'm not sure if I answered your question but hope it helped! lol
oh, and there's no such protection that will last "years".

As for detailing...like Loi said, nothing will last more than 6 months (and even that is pushing it in most cases)
Have fun with detailing your car and take pride in showing off your work!
