Nice scratch on sideview mirror...

Looks like something left a nice ~2 inch long scratch line on the back of my driver side mirror. Any suggestions on fixing it?

Unfortunately polish prolly won't help that. It seems to be in the plastic and not just a clear coat scratch. You may be able to purchase new covers from Infiniti.

yea that seems like it could be an easy cheaper fix just to buy a new mirror cover from Infiniti or a CF Cover if your into modding your exterior.

Alot better there than on the body though!

You know it was someone walking by with a jacket or a woman with a pocket book with all those friggen metal clasps on it that just had to squeeze between my car and another.. grrr. The first time I take it to a location with a small parking area (my dentist office) and I get a friggen scratch!!! Still under 1k on the mileage and a scratch like this.. go figure.

Is it an easy part to replace the cover yourself?

If they sell just the cover, it should be easy.

Or maybe Carbon Fiber covers from Limited Edition? They're a vendor on our forums

What a nice dealer!

I have same problem too. Some work van at my job parked by my car and let the trucks door go to work on my drivers side backside of mirror.

Was pissed man until one of members here told me the cover on back pops off and you can take it off to go get it painted or replace without taking car to body shop or taking the entire mirror of to paint. Thank God!

I know that feeling! Had someone walk by and scratch the side of my car even with the ample space that I left for the person. That's why I park on the end spot 99% of the time. Not worth the hassle and you get more exercise! Better to walk more than have to deal with idi*** who don't look where they walk.

^^ Yep I park my car at the last spot in lot away from all the other cars. If its almost full I leave come back another time or day.

Now at my job... there is no excuse since its designated parking only. But some fucin work van decided to park in the empty spot next to my car and did the damage.

Trust me if I caught him doing so Id kick a fckin dent in his door! Pepole like that have no respect and those who dont will get none from me!

To remove the cover... just fold in your mirror inward for space... then grab the very bottom lip of the back cover with finger nails and gently pull upward as you work your way down and around so you pull it off evenly.
