IF you know how to PROPERLY take care of your paint (washing/drying/detailing, etc) than there is no reason for it to not look like new. Most people think they are caring for their paint properly when in fact they really aren't.
I love how the guys with black cars are complaining about swirl marks and scratches. I'm honestly not trying to sound offensive, and personally I do think it sucks to have to deal with these kind of issues...but that is exactly why I stay away from black...EVERYTHING shows up X10 in black...dirt...swirls...scratches...birdsh*t.
Looks freakin' tight as hell at night when it's got a nice polish and shine to it though...i'll give ya that...
Do you guys think you could take the car to a paintshop and have them put another clear stronger coat on it or no ? Because if you cant then i dont know i will have to think twice about the G.
yes/no. A good body shop can scuff off all of the clear, and reshoot it.
Funny, I've had my 07 G Sedan for almost two years now and the paint looks just as good now (minus a couple of rock chips) as it did when I drove it off of the lot.......and I drive it all year around in some pretty harsh conditions. From my experience owning my own detailing company, Infiniti paint is no worse than other manufacturers like BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, etc. Porsche has the softest paint I've worked on by far.
Dude...I swear to you...I was at a McDonalds in some small town near Amarillo, TX over Labor Day week, trying to enjoy my sausage McMuffin when I saw a Porsche 911 Turbo (black!) getting ready to enter an automated car wash at the Exxon right beside the McDonalds. Some blonde chick was driving it...no offense to women but they have made a reputation for themselves of not taking wonderful care of cars...as she proceeded to drive it in the wash, I wanted to go outside and wait for her at the dryer to ask WTF she was thinking?!?!

Great minds think alike. Very nice choices my friend. We'll have to start a "Post your Bikes" thread. Gigga will prolly post a pic of his Huffy though.
