I use the multiple products and haven't found one that I really like. I do however apply the product with a microfiber rag. It really smooths it on if you know what I mean. Doesn't leave a lot of residue to "sling" up on the car.

I detailed cars for over ten years, and the BEST tire shine that lasts the longest, and wont sling all over the side of the car is Meguiar's Endurance Tire Shine. My personal favorite is the High Gloss Endurance. Fantastic product!

I've used that product before, and while it provided a great shine and lasted a fairly long time, I found the sling back was absolutely terrible. I personally wouldn't buy it again.

Rawr,

I use Auto Magic's Dress It Right. It's priced at $42 a gallon and works fantastic on rubber and plastic.

I've had best luck with Meqiuars NXT Tire Spray.

The trick is, as soon as you finish washing the car, dry the wheels and the tires. Then immediately apply the Endurance High Gloss in a generous, even coating. Remove any excess from your wheels, and then continue to detail your car. If you wait between 15-20 minutes before driving, there will be no sling back. The only time you'll get sling back is if the car is driven while the product is still wet. This might help! Cheers!

Somebody said that tire dressings are a waste. I disagree.

Brand new tires, left unwashed and untreated, lose their nice "new" black look after a week or two. They turn an ugly brown, from what I understand is the loss of carbon black near the surface of the rubber.

Tire shine products restore the black look to the tire. IMNSHO, a black, satin-y or glossy tire finishes off a clean car perfectly. Some are better than others. I prefer a black tire over a dull brown one any day.

In my experience, Armor All is lousy, as it is sticky and holds all kinds of dust and pollen, nor does it last after the slightest hint of rain.

I used to use Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss and Hi-Tech's Grape, but my choice is PoorBoy's Bold and Brite. You can use B&B to get a dull black, a satin black, or a glossy black, depending on how much you apply and whether or not you wipe it after application. And it can take a couple long drives in rain before it disappears.
