been looking for a nice tire shine that keeps them like the way they came from the dealer..turtle wax Wet n' Black doesn't do the job..or is there any specific time period you need to leave the stuff on the tires? Suggestions?

just apply with a foam applicator and you're done.

 

I use Meguiars too, 3 bottles for $10 @ Costco/Sams Club. You should let the tires sit for about 15 minutes before driving.

 

zaino or ultima. don't leave your tires shiny as hell and won't sling all over the car

 

The best product I've used so far is Optimum Tire Shine. Has a good shine and does not throw any residue back on the car. I plan on trying Poorboys Bold N Bright next.

 

Tire shine is a waste.

 

not so..tire shine preserves your tires and protects them from uv rays, chemicals, and other things that are potentially detrimental to your tires. Also, they make them look pretty :P

 

Ehhh, why all those things are true in most cases, tire shine is purely cosmetical. If you were planning on keeping your car in the sun with the same tires for 10-15 years then the UV protection might be useful.

 

i used two kinds of tire shine. the liquid kind works very nicely.

My point exactly. Paint should shine. Chrome should shine. Glass should shine. Tires should look like....tires.

 

+1 with the Zaino Tire Dressing. I found it lasts the longest for me, it doesn't fling off the tires and it is not too wet looking. I absolutely hate tire dressings that make a tire look like shiny patent leather.

 

I like anything Meguires makes.

 

yea, but you do not want your tires to look "old looking", it will make the car look old too. just my opinion.
