Sheepskin Wash Mitt Fails CD Scratch Test

I just bought "The Detailers Preference Sheepskin Wash Mitt" this afternoon and tested it on a CD for scratching. To my dismay it scrathed the heck outta the CD much worse than my microfiber applicators did. Maybe I'm missing something here, but it seems nothing passes the "CD Scratch Test", however the sheepskin left some crazy scratches, much worse than microfiber towels or pads seem to. I have tested my microfiber towels on CD's and they don't seem to scratch unless I really dig in with pressure and continuous motion, but this sheepskin Mitt was a scrathing machine. Maybe I'm putting to much emphasis on the "CD Test", and it does seem that eventually anything scratches a CD if you test it long enough. I know many of you swear by these sheepskin mitts, so I'm a bit confused on this one.

aim your water hose with your thumb over the opening so to create a powerful jet, and aim it at the cd. you will be suprised.

Ya CDs scratch easily. The best protection for your pain using any applicator is a fair amount of lubricant (i.e water, wash solution etc.)

Dry sheepskin mitts can usually cause some scratches. A better test of the mitt would be to put a little water and auto shampoo on the CD, wet the mitt and then test it.

Use a boars hair brush, like I do. You can get them from griots garage.

Does not scratch cds or clear coat. It's expensive, but I have washed
my last 4 new cars with the one I bought back in the 90s.

It does not apply pressure DOWN onto the paint. It rolls the dirt off the paint.

Everyone here will argue about it, but how many have really tried it?

Griots sells a nozzle that you can run over, over and over again without damage too.
