Drying towel

I've had bad experiences with buying drying towels, so I'd like to get an opinion. It seems like MF is the way to go based on what I've read...but what about this product? I'm on Amazon a lot, and I tried to find a drying product with the most customer reviews, and this one seems to be well-received.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pr_product_top

Not much detail to go on, but people keep raving about how great it works. I want to order Meguiar's gold kit on Amazon, and want to add something that will get me free shipping. Anyone have experience with this?

I've had one of those for years. It's not much more than a synthetic chamois. It works ok, but requires much ringing out to get the job done. Personally, I much prefer MF towels. I've got a huge one that's only used for drying my car. Never needs to be rung out. Just fold to a new side and dry.

There are different types of MF towels. For drying, MF waffle weaves work well.

Those waffle weaves look pretty interesting. I'm looking at a Guzzler pack, which includes a 16x24 and 20x40. Should I get that, or am I better off just getting a 28x44? Is it really worth getting multiple ones?

Thanks for the input. I don't know squat about car care, but I'm learning a great deal in this forum.

One large one works well to dry the car after a wash, but smaller ones are also useful for various other jobs like when you just want to do windows. You can't go wrong with more than one, they are useful even around the house.

When you say large, do you mean 20x40 or 28x44? I don't want to get more than I need, which eliminates the trio pack. I highly doubt I'll use these in house, so it'll just be specifically for the car. So it's either the two-pack (16x24 and 20x40) or the ultimate guzzler (28x44...which sounds ridiculously big, but if recommended I'll get that instead).

Big Blue III is super sized at 25 inches by 36 inches. Little Blue III is a more manageable 16 inches by 24 inches.

The big guzzler you'll likely fold into 2 anyway. That 2-pack would be better IMO. Even the 16x24 alone works fine and is a handy size, you might need to wring it out 2-3 times but it's not a big deal.

There are waffle weave microfiber drying towels at Lowe's. They aren't all that expensive and work great. I have 3 of them. The blue ones.

its always good to have seperate stuff for rims and paint. Also an extra in case you drop the one you are using while drying.

Waffle Weave drying towels are definitely the way to go. They are safer than chamois' because they have a nap to them rather than being flat. With flat towels, it's much easier to drag contamination across your paint and add imperfections.
