Anyone know whats legal whats not for tinting?

Anyone got any pics of cars that are tinted?

 

I just tinted mine today (US) and they borked it, poor communication on my part and poor clarification on theirs. I said I want full legal % on the front as well as the rest. They gave me darkest on the rears and legal on the fronts...not sure if I want to swap to legal all around (having to go back in for another hour or so).

So like you I would love to see a lighter tint all around (as well as other shade combos).

 

where I live 35 is the darkest legal tint. I have 35 tint on the sides and 20 on the rear window. Flash kind of screws it up but here's a pic:

Wow, better a frog than a cat. My neighbor's cat come into my garage and walk all over my car, and it left a couple claw marks on my hood. I'll shoot it the next time it steps on my G (jk animal lovers, i would not do such a thing)

To the OP, check local laws to see what they do/don't allow. In Cali, anything below 70% is illegal. 70% is pretty much almost nothing, so basically all tint is illegal. Doesn't stop most of us from doing it anyway.

 

70% is the legal limit in quebec

35% is the limit in Ontario. What colour is your G?

 

These pics are with 20% all around. I just got them done today and it cost $175.

 

2% all the way around. 25% in the front.

 

Grab the cat and use use him to buff out your swirls. then change his collar and rename him to buffy.
