Moving to Canada from US!

Hi Guys,

I'll be moving back to T.O. from US next month and thinking of bringing my G with me.

Does anyone have experience with importing cars from US? Any suggestion on the best port of entry? Thinking about bringing in the car from Buffalo.

Any tip or info is much appreciated!

Thanks!

C.A.

2500? That's it? wow

Are you a US a citizen? I'm not!

I figure my taxes would be about 5-6 grand CAD $! I have 14K miles on the G so the market value is quite high!

Any tips?

I purchased the car!

Here are the taxes I would need to pay at the border:

6.1% duty (since it was made in Japan)
5% GST
$100 AC tax

And when I register the car in ON., I need to pay 8% PST!

yeah that's what I wanted to ask. did you put the daytime running lights in Canada? I heard it's cheap to get from Canadian Tire.

Did you have to change the instrument gauges too?

I'm not sure what the exact amount would be since they will get the market value of the car from KBB or somewhere, convert it to CAD $ (based on the exchange rate) and then calculate the taxes based on that!
