You're from Hamilton? Very cool, I have a lot of friends there and around the region. I'm actually overdue for a visit to Hamilton, hopefully next summer.

No NAV... to much money compared to my $200 GPS ... but I do miss the back up camera that I had on my M.

Note: The Athens Blue is NOTHING like the website depicts it. Look at the paint chip at the back of the actual printed dealer brochure. It is a medium blue not a light blue.

So you got it from Dixie too, good, so did I, about two weeks ago. My winters are in transit, they should arrive tomorrow to across the border, then a quick trip and I'll have them installed finally. By the way, the stock tires are slippery when slush is on the road, but that's expected. I didn't had any problems the first days of snow but yesterday with a bit more snow I had to take it really easy on take-offs.

Hahah, it's not often that I see the words Hamilton and cool in proximity to each other, but yes, I'm in Hamilton And I think it's cool here lol.

I know a couple of other ppl where I work with G's, so I'm not totally lonely hahah. We always try to park next to each other :P

Oh and yeah I totally agree. If you look at AB from the brochures, it looks totally dark. But Athens Blue in person is an awesome colour. It's really deep at dusk and dawn, but during the day it's got a great shine (I think). For some reason, it's not a super popular colour, I've only ever seen one on the road.

Driving this morning in Ottawa was a n-i-g-h-t-m-a-r-e for all! The snow tires did pretty good on the G but there is usually a little slip when going forward from a stopped position (I suppose that's a torque issue). The extra weight on this vehicle really helps it dig in... and the breaking, even in snow, is amazing! Knowing full well about Ottawa winters - I still don't regret my decision on this vehicle - it's awesome. Of course, every time I get a car wash it has to snow.....

I know, I hope we don't get another season like last winter, but it seems like that's where we're heading. Traffic was absolute hell, there was absolute no end to it. Most streets were not plowed making the roads treacherus but that's what you get the first 20-25cm of snowstorm. And with a possible OC Transpo strike at midnight and the already closed Chaudiere bridge, it will only get worst!!!

Good luck to my fellow Ottawa members!!

So... OC Transpo are on strike and streets were unplowed this morning. It was a mess of a drive and so sleepery. Came into work early to avoid the traffic. Now I'm thinking I should go for the x instead of the S...

The 'S' handles very well in this much snow. Yesterday and today... I'm sure all the SUV's I passed are scratching their heads... Yeah, the strike is on - luckily I work from home most of the time to avoid the traffic nightmare. I'm sure the City of Ottawa has blown the budget for snow removal on this dump we got...

Well, I found out that with the stock tires is different. The first snow was fine because there were not much snow, but this morning my winters were ready for pick-up so I took the car to drive to my friend's to take his car because the tires won't fit in the G. Half a block from my place I got stuck in 1/2 foot of snow while other cars were driving by me, the car wouldn't move even with someone pushing. When I finally got it out I went straight to the garage until the roads are clear and I can drive again and go pick up the winters. And that was only on 1/2 foot of snow or less and there were tracks from previous cars and it wasn't even slippery. The profile of the summer tires with so little grooves has no grip to the snow. I'll post my experiences once I get the winters installed.
