Exclamation Q60S 6-MT Deal?

Long story short, my current lease has 10 months remaining on it and I'm projected to be well over my miles along with tons of maintenance coming up (I'm at 55k miles) Though I want the new Q50, I'm unlikely to pay what I am paying on my current loaded sedan. Dealership has a loaded 6-MT coupe that has been sitting in the showroom for quite some time now because no one in New England drives manual and are afraid of RWD. They are offering me that coupe for about $10 more than what I'm paying now per month with just tax/titles and fees down at signing and same 39 month / 18K miles a year.

I love manual, my sedan was my first automatic and I absolutely hated it so I've been dying to get back in to a 6-MT. I'm quite sure the new coupes and sedans will not have 6-mt so might as well enjoy while I can.

Should I jump on this or wait it out?

my current terms on my sedan are $520/month 39 month / 18K miles a year.

Coupe offer - $535/month, 39 month / 18k miles a year..tax title and fees down.

I'm sorry to tell you but that's an epic rip off. I am paying 345 for my g37xs sedan (0 down, taxes in the payment) and I'm pay 393 for my q60s awd (0 down Taxes in the payment).

what are your terms?

they are pulling like $5200 in payments remaining on to the coupe I guess thus jacking the price

Do some number crunching to figure out what the penalties will be. On the surface, for $10 a month ($390 over the course of the lease) you're in a new car with more capability than a XS sedan. Really the question is, how much is that $133/month (5200 over 39 months) worth to you to get into a new car early. Not to mention, the sales tax on the full negotiated price.

If you are going over on an 18K mile/yr lease and paying penalties, it may be logical to consider buying something. If you factor in the end of the lease penalties and what they are making you roll into the next lease, you are paying much more than $520/month.

Im with Ryne, first of all I think lease payments so high are just crazy. With that type of payment you might as well buy the car. At this rate youll keep rolling money into future leases and be paying 900 a month for the same car you can get cleanly for 400 a month. Your best bet is to drive out this lease and then just finance a used 6MT thats a few years old. Some thing that CPO that you can drive till the wheels fall off.

Well you are right, I am getting into a car that I will actually enjoy a lot more. I've never been happy with my sedan mainly due to the fact that it's an automatic and all my previous cars had been 6-MT. I've had this coupe before and I was extremely happy with it and missed it once I had to return it. I'm projecting to be approx. 7k - 10k miles over if I were to drive till the end of the lease, thats $1750 - $2500 in penalties not to mention all the service coming up on the car that I have to pay and damages such as excess pitting on my front end.

Well I never went over my miles on my previous Infiniti G37 coupe lease and I returned that car with 2 months remaining on it which the dealer claimed they waived (doubt that). This was a fresh lease and I didn't enjoy it at all. The cause of my current car being over miles is due to the fact that for the past 18 months I had to drive a lot more than I had anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances. I'm not planning on on putting any more than I already have. I'm hoping any damages I have fall under the $500 credit.

Still not sure if I should do this, I really want to seeing as 6-MTs will get harder and harder to find in future models IF they are even offered.

I see by this thread and your sig that you bought the Q60S 6MT. Happy for you, Goonz. Particularly since it was no secret that your Sedan xS was an underwhelming experience. Personally, I think the 2014 Q60 is gorgeous, even if it is dated. I think I would have waited for the 2015 redesign, just for that reason. And the financials you've described here are downright nuts. But at the end of the day, you got the car that you want, and that's why you're here... not to defend or debate how you got the car.

No, wait, actually it is. This is the buying and leasing forum. Well, in that context... Yikes!

Anyway, the Coupe 6MT is a different experience than the Sedan 6MT. There's much more of a feeling that you're in a luxurious bullet, for lack of a better metaphor. Less like you're sitting on or in a car, and more like you're wearing it. That's pretty cool.

Congrats.

a zero profit deal is 430 plus tax with minimum drive off. Dealer has to pull some profit and rolling your other payments in bumps it up so as long as you are fine with the payment enjoy!

So i just got my q60s after shopping at different locations.
I got the 2015 Q60s Limited 6pd 10k miles for $384/month with 2800 down.

Tried bargaining the down payment but I they wouldn't budge and the other dealerships couldnt beat it. I had the sedan which I was happy with but I got bored and like they say...life is to short to drive boring car.

Needless to say Im in love with my car and intend to do alot of mods to it soon.

Wasn't necessarily a rip off. They're are some many variables to every deal. Credit, negative equity, lease program, etc. That might have been the best deal availble at the time. Infiniti's lease programs typically get better as time goes on. 4 years ago a G25 lease special was $399 a month. Leased a 2015 Q40 to a customer today for $263+tax $1550 out of pocket. That's way more car then a G25.
