I want to return my wife's EX35 2 months early.
I made the final 2 payments. Contract fulfilled, right??

Wrong.

Infiniti financial services tells me that an early turn in, fully paid or not gets penalties.
The car goes to auction, if they don't realize the residual value placed, I pay the difference. My residual is $26K, high retail is $25K, wholesale is around $20K.

So it's going to sit in my driveway for 2 months until the maturity date!
What happens at maturity, same thing, though I don't pay their loss??

Has anyone here turned in an early paid off lease??

that is really really bizarre!! If your dealership was good enough, they would have accommodate that in some way I'm sure.

 

Just spoke with a "Supervisor".
I can turn it in 2 months early.
Heres a new one!!
There will be no penalty, because I have fulfilled my contract.
But they will not send it to auction until the lease maturity date. If the car sells for more than residual, I get the difference!! At that point, they will bill me the disposition fee, and excess wear and tear, which would be subtracted from what they owe me if it auctions for more than residual. HA!

 

This an about 100 other reasons are why I don't lease....
