Good deal from quick glance?

Hey everyone.. I've been a member of the g35 club till recently, I found a 08 g37S thats 13k millage for only 26k (which is only 2k more from what i was gona pay for a g35S with half the millage). I am planning to purchase a G by this weekend at latest and have my loan pre-approved. The only concern I have is that its from a dealership that auctions for cars and the place look a bit shady. Hows the deal and car look? The rims arnt stock so it worries me alittle. not trying to get a beater or tracked car. Any thoughts?

Talk them down to 22 or less. The factory warranty will be/is up. Never know what can happen.

Low miles though. Make sure it's not a salvage title.....carfax is your friend.

and what you mean by factory warranty will be/is up? They told me this car is still under basic warranty till 48months/60k millage. Is this true? because i didnt know warranty is transferable

48 months or 60k...which ever comes first..

2008---->2012

That means the bumper to bumper is/almost is up.

You still have the other warranties like drivetrain and such.

IF you should get it, I would bring it right in to Infiniti and get all the major TSBs done on it if they haven't have already. The Infiniti dealership you bring it to can check if they have been done by the VIN I believe.

And ya, I bought mine used as well. Factory warranties still apply. I think you're thinking of extended warranties not being transferable....some are though.

From the salesmen and dealership owners I personally know and working around dealerships for 8 years, auctions tend to be used for cars that wont sell or they cant sell on their lots. There are a lot of reasons for that.. Ive seen nice cars go to auction because it sat on the lot too long and no one was interested.. Ive also seen a bunch of POSs that went because they were not presentable enough to be on a lot.

Basically, take it to an independent mechanic that you trust to check it over or see if the dealership will cover the ~$105 to have Infiniti check it over. When I was buying my Q45, I found one at a small dealership (one of the mom & pop types). I talked them into letting me take the car to Infiniti, they paid for the diagnostic ($105) and I got a list of work that needed to be done. I ended up not buying it because of the surprises I got.

Hope this helps

K guys i need some serious input on this... So i went to check out the car and its defiantly been beaten. They had to put in new tranny+clutch on the 13k millage car cuz he blew his tranny. But my friend was saying yea its beaten but then again... its still 13k millage on it. Also some minor dings/interior damage but prolly with a full detail they can make it look clean. Any inputs pleasee?

Can you get pics of the damage? If the trans and clutch have been replaced that could go two ways.. But just from knowing that has been replaced early, means that other components are probably excessively worn also.

That low mileage and already needed a tranny/clutch replacement, that accompanied with the dings and interior issues....I think someone drove the **** out of the car and basically treated it like crap. I'd stay away from it. Price and mileage are great but the car has been treated like ****, and those wheels suck in my opinion.

thanks guys for the input. I ended up walking away and went to a infiniti dealership but sadly the one i wanted had sold out. So as I was about to leave, they called me back because they just got in a g37S MT with 25k millage. I was kind of blown that it wasnt black or white but the price+millage on it was too good to pass up. Now they just have to clean it inside and out and i will have it by tuesday. Will post up picture soon THANK YOU GUYS
