I have been searching for a G37s 6mt for a few months now. I found one locally but I was a little turned off when I went to go see it. It drove fine and I didnt notice anything that felt off with the car mechanically. However, there were 4-5 dings/scratches on the body and all 4 of the cars wheels were curbed pretty severely. He said that he had let his ex-gf drive the car and thats how the rims got curbed Also, the interior of the car was filthy. I am not sure if he was just extremely busy and didn't have time to clean it, but I would think someone who is trying to sell a car would at least clean it before showing it. Also made me wonder if he took care of the car over the past 4 years if he didn't have time to even clean it before showing it.

He is offering me the car pretty well under book value so I am considering it. What do you guys think?

He says that he has receipts for oil changes from a nissan dealer but not all of them. He also has receipts from new tires and a new battery. He says that no other service or maintenance has been done to the car.

Forgot to add that it has 40,000 miles. Was there any maintenance at 30k or 40k that should have happened?

30K maint calls for a brake fluid change (plus the standard oil change, rotate tires, inspect everything blah blah). Not the end of the world if it hasn't been done... You can have him get it done for under $200 and the Dealer.

Isn't like ~$800 for the 30K / 60K service ?

 

Or just do it yourself and save some money. 40K miles is nothing for these cars, they last forever with minimal maintenece.

I'd be more concerned about the body and wheel condition because to have all that fixed is gonna cost more than the 30K maintenece.

 

Mind if I ask, what's he asking for it?
