Prices going down?

I've been dreaming of the G37 for two years now and im really interested in getting one but it seems like they are still very pricey. The 08's around my area go between 19k-25k. I havent seen any 09+ years in this price range. I've read that some issues were fixed in 09 but 08 owners said that their cars are fine with no issues. With the 2012 G's coming out will there be any drops in prices for the older models and would it be easier to negotiate with the dealer on lowering the price?

I'm guessing you are looking for a coupe as there is no 08 G37 sedan. Since we have that out of the way, you can do a few broad search on autotrader to see what price is it going for. About 2 year's ago, I was offered $26k for a sport coupe with 8k miles out the door. Since its been 2 years, I'm guessing you can find one in the very low $20s. Good luck with your search.

On the flipside, it's good to know these cars keep their value.

I just found (155) 09-10 G37 coupes on AutoTrader w/ a listed price range of 22-28k within a 500 miles of CA. Where do you live?
Maybe go into a dealership and have them transport one.

The 2012's are here as of Oct/Dec 11.

Let's get you in one!

lol im in NJ and im sure the dealer will want to charge me extra to ship one across the country. I'd rather see it in person first before making such a decision. Maybe one day i will get in one, and if i do i'll make sure to post it here

Keep in mind options cause the price to vary quite a bit. Do you want the just the car or all the bells and whistles too? (Sport package, NAV, premium, etc...)

Used car market atm is very strong, ive been trying to get cars from auction that are selling over book so prices are being driven up. I prefer though that our cars keep their value, look at 3 series of the same year, 8k more at time of purcahse but 3k less at resale, just shows the value of infiniti's

^^If price differential between new/used is only a few grand, what's the rational for going with used over new?

there isn't depending though on the situation, if you buy a 2011 CPO with the wrap warranty with really low miles for 3 or 4 grand cheper then you can for a new one then you actually get a better warranty(depending on in service date for length) To some people 3 or 4 more k can make a difference when purchasing.
