It's an amazing car but when I optioned out a new one, it came to 73K and for a C-class, that's pretty OOC (out of control).

I did test drive a used one, had 12K miles on it, but that came out to 54K and with all of the finances I see coming this year for me and my family, I just feel it's smarter to not spend $900+/month to lease one or $750 to finance a used one.

Alright guys here we go. I just came back from the dealership and have tentatively locked this deal down until my father has issue with it (he's the financial wiz and asserts his sage wisdom on all of us lol)

2011 G37 IPL Malbec Black/Monaco Red AT -

MSRP: 52,305
Selling Price: 46,985
Residual: 27159.60
MF: .00005
$2500 out of pocket for 39 months/12K = $490/month

What do you guys think?

^ too much out of pocket. Search edmunds ppl have leased IPL's for 0 down.
And you're buying an 11, the 12's are here, that $2500 is just going in their pocket.

Try for 0 down, act like you dont want it, and let them know youre aware the body style will change & possibly more 'power' from the IPL while youll be locked into the old one...

But If they'll do $1000-1500 out of pocket I'd take it.

I haggled with em like crazy this evening to get my OOP money minimized and he absolutely didn't budge.

So with the 2500 down, you wouldn't take this deal? I think with the re-design slated sometime this year, I'm going to run through my last remaining payments...

It's not really $2500 down...drive-offs (always there) are $1000 so it is a $1500 cap cost reduction.

Is that payment with tax because when I used my lease calc I get $540/month with tax and $499 without.

Also I looked at Trucar.com and that's a good price. Unless somebody can show a better lease deal that's pretty solid. Leasing is numbers, and you can't make up a $300 lease payment because you think you read it online. That interest rate is .12% and it's a healthy amount of sticker ($2k lower that 2012 on trucar).People always think there are better deals.

At that price I would shop an S4 (4 door but awesome) and an M3 sedan...but that's me.

That's with tax but again, with the re-design slated sometime this year, I'll just go through my remaining payments and see what's good out there as it comes closer to my turn-in

I took advantage of the pull-ahead program and some very aggressive pricing and picked up a 2012 G37xS Coupe on 1/31. It's Moonlight White with Graphite interior. It has premium, sport, navigation and a few accessories (illuminated door sills, splash guards, wheel locks, trunk mat, grocery net and first aid kit). The list was $48,990. I leased it for $500 a month for 39 months with 15K miles a year. Total due at signing was $500 and included all taxes, tags, MV, etc. The $500 at signing was the first month's payment.

I'm guessing a redesign is still 2 years off. There are no spy shots of cars being tested..so at most you'll see a concept this year. Which means 2-3 years away.

If Infiniti is going to keep this car for 2 more years (8 years for the sedan?), they will have to offer 10K rebate all the time to move the car. Their sales have been very low already for the past several months. Look at the Altima, it's dirt cheap now.

That's what they are doing, I'm sure they are still making a decent amount of money. 2 years min...maybe a freshening.

Beer - I agree with you. My dealer said a redesigned G Coupe will not appear until the 2014 model year. As a result, I decided to pull the trigger on a 2012 Xs coupe. The deal was just too good to pass up. Plus, I don't like buying a new model in its first year because the lease deals are not priced aggressively and there are sometimes bugs to work out.

They just release pics of the 2013 IPL Vert so there will be NO new car in a 2013 model year. That's why you lease..get a new car eventually.
