Buying a used 2008 G37S 6mt that i've never seen before?
Hey guys, as you know i've been searching relentlessly with patience for a G37
I think I might have found one, I was talking to the dealer and I offered 29 thousand all in and he told me that was too little, i'm going to offer 30 thousand for it all in ( after taxes)
Since I've never seen it im afraid that it might have scratches on it or something might be wrong with it that I don't know about.
Do you think it's wise for me to purchase the car without even looking at it?
Is there anyway I can make them guarantee that there are no scratches on the car or anything like that?
Do you think 30 thousand all in is a good deal?

Well. . . Do you live in Canada? You will pay more for a G here as you obviously know from searching.
I think the tax in BC is 12%.. So you're paying about 27 grand for the car.
Do a carproof.. it won't show everything.. and it's just an extra step. The dealer might be able to provide one for you. You'll also be able to see if it was a leased vehicle, or if it's from out east.. in which case you probably should keep looking.
I would just phone and start building a relationship with someone from the dealer. If you're super worried about the condition of the paint, get them to take some more in depth pictures.

How were you thinking of taking possession of the car? How far away are you from the dealer?
You'll get several different schools of thought on this. I think if you're spending this kind of money, you really should see the car in person, drive it, before committing to the transaction.
Although some dealers are in fact honest, there's been too many horror stories about two very different pictures - the online, and what the car truly represents in person.
I don't see a vin listed at the link above, or when googling the stock number. The dealer should be able to provide you with a carfax or the canadian equivalent. Use it as a guide, but be aware, that if the car did have any body work done, it may or may not be on this report.

Do you think I should demand that I want them to say in writing that the car hasn't been in any accidents and the car doesn't have any scratches?

You'll be hard pressed to get a dealer to sign such a statement.
It's a used car, it's going to have some wear and tear. 800KM is 500 miles. Two day trip there and back. Better to waste a few hundred in fuel/lodging than to find out it's a $30K lemon.
