My two lease options

Hi all new to the forum but have been browisng for 2-3 weeks

Okay well after my parents just bought a 37x premium with navi, I'm heading down to the same dealership in NJ to pick up a 37x coupe, premium with navi and 15k a year. (would also love the sport package but i am unsure if they have one)

here are my two options.
1) 2,000 out of pocket !,000 credit from my parents already making payments on they're G. 385 including tax for 39 months

2) 2,000 out of pocket 1,000 credit 395 month for 24 months

-If i do the 2 yr lease will the new g be out or the new 3 series when i am ready to start my next lease?

-And if they are im sure i cant get the new style for the same price being that they will probably be charging a premium for the new model/style. So do i just do the 39 month lease so the prices will come down.

any thoughts comments or concerns
all are welcome and appreciated.

Putting money down on a lease, aka cap reduction, really takes away your leverage in terms of the time value of money and possibly getting out of the lease early. If it was me, I'd insist they reduce the sale price if they make you pay cap reduction.

He's not putting money down. The $2K seems to be to cover taxes and fees. This is a very good deal and I can see it's not a BS offer.

$2k seems a bit steep for taxes and fees. I'm looking at my latest lease offer and the taxes and acquisition fee are rolled into the net cap. Only the doc and license fees are out of pocket and the $1,000 loyalty credit should cover those. Maybe I misunderstood "out of pocket".

To get his pymt down to $385 a month he'd almost have to do cap reduction.

Out of pocket for me originally would have been $1500 in OH. I chose to apply the $1000 credit towards that and roll the rest into my monthly payment. Maybe he used the $1000 as a cap reduction and still has to pay the taxes and fees out of pocket?

Too steep? It's actually on the low side. Taxes and fees are usually around $2500. If he rolls the taxes in the lease, then the out of pocket is around $1500 depending on the monthly payment, dealer fee, and DMV fee. If you read his post he's already at $385 a month with $2000 out of pocket. That means all fees and taxes should be covered. The deal the OP posted is a good deal.

Thanks for the reply guys. The 2000 includes all fees and whatever else is due at signing. Any thought s on the two yr deal vs 39 month one. Aren't two yr deals typically more Expensive.

The g37x with 17k miles a year I'm negotiating right now has $1,204 taxes and a $595 acq fee, both rolled into the net cap. Doc and license fees come to $330, covered by loyalty money. If you want to add all them up then they do add to $2k, if you want to look at it that way.

The fact that the deal is for 24 months makes it an even better deal. Congratulations, well done.
