New G37S Coupe Purchase
New G37S Coupe Purchase
Hey guys, I've been stalking the boards for quite some time. I finally registered a few days ago having done some serious test driving of a few different cars in the G's class and settling on the G Coupe for my purchase.
I currently have, what I think is, a pretty good deal of $40k out the door. This is for the G37s 6MT with Navigation package, a base price of $37k before tax, title, etc. Any thoughts on this?
I'm still waffling between going new and picking up a lower mileage '08. A savings of probably $10k looking at the big picture inclusive of additional taxes and cost of insurance. However, with my perceived good bargain, the depreciation hit doesn't seem quite as big.
Either way, I look forward to becoming part of the community in the near future.

Thus my confusion. The site lists it as such and that was the number written down when I visited the dealer. With local sales tax, destination, title, etc it works out to just over 40k.
All of their 2010 inventory has between a 4k and 8k "discount" on them through the end of the month. Perhaps a dealer to manufacturer rebate?

There is currently a Cash to Customer incentive of $1000 which can be combined with Cash to Dealer incentive of $1000 so those two maybe what's reducing the price.

However, if you look at the zag site (American Express | Car Buying Home Page), below is the spread for the Journey model which is the average of the models at about 2-3k below invoice. I used this site as a starting guide when buying an '10 Odyssey in the spring and actually got the van for $500 less than the below "your price" (plus TTL) when negotiating between five dealers in Florida.
VIRGINIA
INVOICE MSRP YOUR PRICE
$35,517 $38,375 $32,405
Savings off MSRP: $5,970
FLORIDA
INVOICE MSRP YOUR PRICE
$35,517 $38,375 $33,017
Savings off MSRP: $5,358
I used the Odyssey forums on the edmunds site too for references, this one is the G37 forum: Infiniti G37 Prices Paid and Buying Experience - CarSpace Automotive Forums
