Need opinions

My wife is in the market for a G coupe and we came accross this deal:
2008 G37S coupe
New car still at the dealer
Automatic
149 miles
Premium package
Navigation package
Sport package
4 wheel active steer package

Dealer wants $37,500 but I have negotiated down to $35,750 plus taxes, licenses and fees.

Obviously, this is a 2008 but it is new with only 149 miles. MSRP is close to $45,000.

My gut is that $35,750 is a great price but I am thinking that with the 2010 coupes out soon this will be a 2 year old "new" car soon so maybe the price should be lower.

The color combo is my wife's first choice, blue slate/graphite interior.

I asked the dealer why this hasn't sold and their response was that they are in a northern climate and once the G37x came out, the demand for RWD coupes fell off a cliff. The miles put on the car are from test drives.

Let me know your thoughts. If you want to suggest a counteroffer please feel free

I think that you are right, the dealer has it listed with a 7AT, but Edmunds.com says 5 speed. Either way, not a deal braker.

Thanks for the insight

I know exactly which car that is. Its at Infiniti North Shore in Glendale Wisconsin. I actually test drove that car when I ordered my coupe, to determine whether I wanted 4WAS in the car or not. Its an awesome car. It also has full clear bra on it, not sure if they told you that when you were looking at it. What the salesman told you about the G37X taking away all RWD sales is pretty much true. You would be hard pressed to find a RWD coupe at any of the Infiniti dealerships in Wisconsin since the X came out. Your negotiated price is solid on that car. A friend of mine was looking at that car also and couldn't get it as low as you have negotiated it. Id jump on it. The 2010's probably won't be out until late December or January, and if they still have the car at that point, they will probably start the warranty on the car so they can drop it down lower in price, because part of the warranty is used up. The dealership and staff are great to work with. My next Infiniti will definatley come from their dealership.

If you need an awesome salesman to work with, hit up Peter Dane. He's top notch.

And no, I do not work for the dealership, just had a good experience with them.
