Considering a Maintenance Plan - Thoughts?

I plan to keep the car for quite some time and have it serviced under warranty by the local dealer. Considering the cost of the dealer service for Ester oil changes and major scheduled maintenance I'm considering the Deluxe1 Plan. I'm capable of doing my own basic maintenance including fluids so I don't need the gold plated plan.

There's the Premium plan that in my opinion is ridiculously overkill (and expensive). Then the Elite1 (3750 mile maint. interval). It covers rental car, engine filters and cabin filters (plus 1 or 2 extra inspection items) but is 55-60% more expensive than the Deluxe1. I can change my own engine filters but even though the cabin filter is noted in the manual as a dealer service item I can't see it being worth several hundred dollars over 5 years.

I got a quote from www.infinitiwarranty.net (Circle Infiniti) for $1148 for 5yr/75000 miles. It seems reasonable. Any thoughts?

Their prices for an extended warranty are also good.

I paid $1200 for the Elite2 package which covers maintenance every 7500miles/6 months for 5yrs/7500 miles. If you're planning to do all your maintenance at Infiniti dealers, it's worth it.

I got it from Infiniti of Tustin; you can buy these maintenance plans from any Infiniti dealer, and the price is usually negotiable.

i dont think the package is worth it if you can do the tire rotation on your own. the only work that may be worth paying for is the engine oil change and the transmission oil change. all of the other things you can do yourself (tire rotation, wipers, fluids, etc) if you look at 20 oil changes (every 3750 miles for 75000 miles) that's $1000. i think you do the tranny oil like 3 times $150 each. so you are at $1500.

Paid 1700 for 5/75 Elite 1. Not sure if it was a great deal, but it seemed reasonable. Compared to MadMax above, who paid 1200 for every 6 mos, I get an extra 10 oil changes for 500$. 50$/oil change is a bit less than the going rate @ dealers around here, so seems fair.
