'08 / '09 Differences?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently in the market for a 37 and I'm debating on whether I should get an '08 or an '09. Besides the the A/T changing to a 7 speed are there any other major differences between the two?

I was offered the following on a brand new leftover '08:

$3500 down
39 months
$319/month
10,000 miles/year

It's a Journey with no packages installed, but I'm not too worried about all of that stuff anyway.

'09 has the self healing paint. Which is a +++ since we have very soft paint on our Gs but I'm not sure how well it works cause I have no experience with it before.

The differences are minimal, besides the 7At. Other than that the only difference you can see are the ***** for the seat heater's.

You can definitely bring it down from that. I leased an 08' G37s 6MT with Premium, Sport, and illuminated Kick Plates and 12k miles/year for $1420 down and $429/mo + tax. Talk them down bro, they have to move the 08's. They're asking way too much for out of pocket IMO.

Well I went to the dealership to close the deal and all of the sudden the deal changed. They still wanted $3500 down but now wanted $500/month! Mind you this was for a leftover 2008 37s of which they had 5 others on the lot. Needless to say, I left my number and walked out.

They'll never sell it at that price. That's more than a BMW 335i. LOL go back in a week and offer them $1000 and $350/mo. If they dont take that for that car the way it's equipped then they're just going to wait for some poor guy to come buy and rape him on a deal. That's ridiculous though, Im sure you'll get a call tomrrow.

I hope so, funny thing is that they refused to budge off that number, no matter how hard I tried.

The BIG difference between the 08 and 09 is really...

0.9% APR and the ability to haggle well below invoice to the point of getting the dealer to only make approx $500 on the sale.

That's the real difference, the rest are just the little nitty gritties.
