Quite the deal?

I recently went to my local Infiniti dealership that had just opened 2 weeks. Most of the cars on the lot were essentially brand new 2008 g37s (just ordered from the factory according to the salesman) with about 15 miles on most of them.

They almost had the car I was looking for. Obsidian Black exterior with the premium and nav package for a 6MT.

Alas, the interior color was wheat. And I'm extremely adamant that my g37 is going to have a black exterior with the graphite interior.

However, they said they would be extremely flexible with the price. So after I test drove it, we sat down to discuss numbers.

Knowing that sales have been down for the g37 and the fact that it was a 2008 model, I offered them 37k for the car, thinking they would roll over laughing. Surprisingly to me, they seemed to be okay with that price. I quickly told them I was part of the VPP pricing as well.....

Somehow, they came to the value of 34,600 dollars for a 08 6MT g37s with premium, splash guards, and nav.

I think this is a pretty good deal. Not sure how they got to that value, but the wheat interior with the obsidian black interior really really irks me. I'm not sure I could live with this color combination.

What are your thoughts on this? This is a pretty sweet deal.

VPP is VPP. Did you supply them with a number? If so, they have no control over the pricing. Sounds pretty accurate based on the numbers.

sounds like a good deal. keep in mind you should check the manufactured date on the car, not just the mileage to see how old it really is.

with that said, i WOULDNT buy it. my g is my #1 purchase and im the same boat as you - they found the exact 09 i wanted except the interior is stone instead of graphite. just cant do it so im holding out hoping that they find 1 with graphite.

get what you really want and cant hurt to try a little lower on price.

I bet he is talking about the Beshoff Infiniti in San Jose California. Actually there is a black 09' sedan in the showroom and the rest is 08'. I have talked to the sales people there and they are not knowledgeable to the products.

Yep, I'm talking about Beshoff.

Definately take advantage of their deals on their 08's. They definately want to sell some cars.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to just wait, even if its for the 09's for my color choice.

I would say this is a sweet deal. Go for it. I can say if I am able to drive MT, I would jump on it either

PS: I work in Lion Plaza which is 3 blocks away from Beshoff during the weekend. You should stop by after getting the new car. ( J/K)

^ NJ knows what hes saying.

But yeah bro. Get what you want, do not compromise, especially with exterior/interior colors. Sounds like a great deal though. But I'd get stone before wheat.

at $34.6 with Premium AND Nav I wouldn't care if the interior was poop brown. That is a great price.
