Went to the dealer today...

Ive seen people on the forum saying dealers were offering 38k for fully loaded G37's, with that said i was hoping to get one around 33 er 34k. So I. stopped by the suburban infiniti of Troy today and was looking at a PG g37 journey with sport and premium. The sticker was 41k and i was expecting him to go waaay lower then the 38k he told me he could do. My mom being the boater she asked if it was 4 wheel drive and he said no but the 09's will be. So i then asked him what the difference between the 08's and 09's were and he replied "nothing its the same exact car" i said, "are u sure " and he replied, "yes"(not knowing i was a member of myg37.com). He then replied that the 33K i offered for the car was a very ridiculous offer and i then said, "no whats ridiculous is you telling me that 09' is exactly then same when it has a 7speed tran. and self healing paint". He then said in a nervous tone, "O well i mean yea engine wise its different and the paint, yea its self healing." I was holding myself back (mentally) from beating the man so i told him im going to infiniti of Novi. Fu**ing idoiots man. Anyone know any good salesman/dealerships in michigan?

+1, but you are indeed making a ridiculous offer. I suggest you do some more research; no sales manager will ever turn away a valid offer.

Do you really think there is 8k of profit in a 41k car?

deu u wanna hear something smilar. yesterday i went down to infiniti of greenwitch in ct....they guy tried sellin me a 08 sports model in red, but it had 2K miles on it cuz it was seposedly a demo. by teh way the car was fully loaded, on top of taht it had a custom grill, stillen exhaust and tinted windows (not bad for a demo). so he tells me teh car was only driven by the dealership and taht he wants to sell it because he's getting teh 09 model. the car was worth 49 grand and he was offering it for 40 flat. anyway i told him im more interested in the 09 model and i didnt want teh car in red. So this scumbag tells me that the 09's dont come wit a sport paacge they are only gonna be made in awd becasue everyone complains about teh real wheel drive. i told him taht impossible, and he stilll tried to change my mind into getting the 08. so i called up my boy who works in infiniti in masapequa and put it on speaker. This dealer felt soo stupid.

Im in Michigan and usually around this time the prices drop very rappidly. Back in 04 my mom got a 38k C-class mercedes for 28K OTD. Around the same time my cousin got his g35 auto(everything but nav) for 34K OTD. Not one g37 sold since the last time i was there 2 months ago. I figured the snows comming and so are the all wheel drive 09's and i could get it for around 33K.

Yeah you gotta be careful sometimes. A lot of the new people that dealerships hire (due to high turnover depending on the dealer) know nothing about the product they're selling. They're just thrown on the floor and told to "sound" professional!

I mean ya 33K is ridiculous but i figured i should offer him a very low number and in his defense he might have said, alright ill give it to you for 35K. My exact words were, "How about instead of 38 thousand i give you 33.........cash." It was kinda funny because he was like," ummmmm hmmmmm uhhhhhhh......idk.....hmmmm uhhhh thats kinda low but hmm cash?." This whole converstaion was in the parking lot, we didnt even sit inside and mess around with numbers because he pissed me off when he told me the 09's were the same model so i left.

Do you really think there is 11.5k of profit in a 55k car? Do you ever know what you're talking about or just like to see yourself type? At SOME POINT it's not about profit - JUST GETTING THE F OUT. His offer of 33k is right in the same ball park of 20% off MSRP and the G's will soon follow. Capishe?

i run the website at work and there are huge restrictions on what you can say. yes, people will see the marketing in the buy now price... but honestly, not a huge percentage of clients come in to pay cash... but thats the reason why the economy is where it is

How am I wrong when it says "ONLY ONE"? How's that not marketing? Did you also not see it's -11000 MSRP "OR" 0.9% up to 72 months "OR" 0% up to 36 months
