After the package I want the msrp is ~ 42k. I have a trade in that the dealer said he'd give me 8k for (roughly what kelly blue book says) and after trade in he said the BEST he could do is 33.8. He gave me all this bull**** and tried to talk circles until I gave in, which I didn't. I'm looking to pay no more than 500 over invoice. plus trade in = ~30-32k.

His offer is ****, seeing that after trade in he took off a whole 200 dollars. WOW. Car salesman are crooks by nature. Don't give in to their rants on how they can't go lower this and that. They are all looking for a big commission, which is understandable. But it gets annoying when you know they can go alot lower.

What kind of car are you trading in?

Keep in mind that a typical pay plan involves 20% of the gross. If you're paying 500 over, he's probably got a gross profit of under 200 dollars. 20% of 200 dollars isn't much. At this point, he's not the one trying to hold profit, since he's probably already getting just a flat. It's the sales manager who won't go lower.

Remember, 99% of sales people have absolute NO POWER to negotiate price. That is the sales manager's job.

same thing when i went back to my dealer to talk to my friend at the lease office, and i wanted to test the sales cause i saw a AB G37S auto.( when they first started offering S to journies). so i was like. tell me.. i thought the Athens blue was only for S's and S's were only for 6MT's. the guy thought i didnt have a G so hes like well this blue is not athens blue, it looks better, its a different paint. so im like ok, but how bout the Transmission? i thought the S was supposed to be 6MT's only. then hes like this is a limited edition, automatic type S. blah blah. then hes like are you interested in buying a G Coupe?, and i just turned around and pointed at my car outside the front door and said "no i already have one, in the same color. but thanks". you guys shoulda seen his face, it was priceless, like hes caught torrets or something lmao

2004 acura rsx, 86k. Excellent condition with all the aftermarket goodies...I even have the stock tires if they wanted them. They literally were only driven from the dealership to my house.

I understand the sales manager is the one with the final word, but they are literally taking no money off the car besides the trade in....I don't think that asking for 38-39ish before trade is an idiotic offer....

I have been searching all area dealers and so far none have the color/package combo in stock and say it's hard to locate. One can get it but they want 33.8. Oh and a 4th dealer wants me to make a deposit and pay 700 to have the car shipped BEFORE we sit down and talk numbers

^^ one delaership offered 33.8 (so in reality before 8k trade it is full MSRP). The one who wants the deposit and 700 to ship the car won't talk price until I make a deposit and pay for the car to be shipped to them for me to see ..... makes zero sense.

They just don't want to make a trade for no reason. They want some sort of assurance.

It isn't free to trade for cars.

Dealership in Norwood of MA has only sold 2 of 12 08 G37. Feel free to contact them, their managers are retarded. I emailed them telling them my cousin wants to buy a coupe. I said give me your best price for 08s starting under invoice. Or give me your best price for the 09s. I've been to their dealership last year and they offered G37 Journey Prem/Nav for 40,550k lol at them.

They emailed me back and said theres no way they will start even below invoice saying business must make a profit, no one is selling these under invoices blah blah blah, i said i probly know more about sales, invoices, the car itself than u, **** off. I also told them 09s are coming with AWD and we live in heavy snowing area if you didnt know and winter is nearing. GOOD LUCK selling 08s. Emailed me back and offered 36k fully loaded without 4was and apologized for misunderstanding on their part. ( I know this is extreme but I went to their dealership 3 times last year and got nothing but B.S.) I emailed back and said **** you im going to Herb Chambers Infiniti 15 miles down the road.
They sent another email offering free service and crap I just ingnored them.

Sorry for the rant, but I just hate *******s and **** ****s and ppl who are so retarded in their profession.

Either way, a dealership isnt gonna let a vehicle go, if they're not gonna make money. Or u can get like me and make fat wads of cash off of people cuz they'll do n e thing to get into a prius. In the end, if it sounds too good to be true, (especially from a dealership), IT ****IN IS!!

True, but it depends on what part of country you in. Michigan doesn't have nearly the competition of Southern California for these types of markets. Unless of course you're not in Riverside, CA. Then I'll look like a dum dum.
