check the date of production on the door edge?

I purchased the g37, 8-29-08, ~150mi, for $36K+tax (prem, nav, moonroof). I now see my Vin#jnkcv64ex8m111xxx vs. the TSB's (technical service bulletin) listed at infinitihelp.com, for instance, the "rattle in main muffler" 29-Jan-2008 ITB08-023, is for veh before Vin#jnkcv64e*8 120021. My wife says to check the door and sure enough, the vehicle was built Oct,07.

Did I get a car that was sitting around too long? the battery died on me the first couple of days, but I was sitting in it at night playing with the nav setups. Hope it had a test drive once a month since it was built to keep the oil moving. But I see a lot of TSB's that may only apply to early units. However, the voice activation is still limited like the newer vehicles. Any thots?

!!!!THIS IS A MUST READ!!! I would like to start by saying thanks for posting this. I read this write up before buying and applied it to my process. The major point that helped me, from this write up, was using the competitors car as leverage. The dealer asked if I was interested in another vehicle. I told him that I was looking at the Audi A5. But the G-37S was my first choice. Here is the end state. They found me a 2008 Infiniti G37S Prem and Nav pkg. 40 miles on delivery. I paid 38k,talked down from 43, for the car. 1600 for tax, tags, title and others. Since it is an 08 I received the .9% financing, from Infiniti, for 60 mo. That comes out to $633.00, over 5yrs, vice $3933.00 I would have paid using my bank. Good luck and dont back down. You can get the deal you want. Good luck. Oh..my monthly payment is 498.00. It would have been 421.00 but I got the gap ins. and a couple of protection options.

Are these prices that everyone is getting Out the door prices? or are they still paying tax and license on top of what they were offered. I was offered 35k + tax and License =38,805 for a G37 sedan Journey+Prem+Nav+Aero Kit+Tires pkg+IKP+trung cargo net. I'm still debating if this is a good deal. Anyone have input?

Hello all G drivers or wantabees!

I am looking to sell my beloved G37S platinum graphite, fully loaded (nav pkg, premium pkg, AWD, moonroof, spoliers) 22,000 miles in excellent condition. It is a brand new ride, better than new because it was broken in with expert driving I am a professional racer by trade both air and land. The reason I am looking to get rid of my baby is because I have a new baby Aston Martin Vantage ........ So if you are in the market for the best coupe to be ever invented, hit me up, I have pictures and more info if you are a serious buyer. Why not pay almost 10K under for a G that is better than new, already superbly broken in? Asking price $40K OBO. I paid $50K when bought in 2009.

Cheers!

I was told recently by a friend that I should be asking for near or below invoice price with tax included. So if an invoice for a G37 coupe base is $33,800, then I should be bargaining for $33,500 to $33,800 Out the Door INCLUDING tax and everything.

Can anyone confirm this?

Well, the answer is maybe.. With the $2000 incentive, they could put that toward tax.. With tax in Cali 8.75% or higher, it would be a very nice deal for you if they did that deal.

Remember that sales tax on a vehicle is tax deductable this year

Topic: I looking to buy and I have cash with a trade in car to do negociations with.
desire model is G37 S couple with premium package and Navigation pack. Color probrably white or platium graphite. I 'm deployed overseas and I save some little something .I gone online to the Infiniti.com and gotten the price info which totals to 43 or 44 k , can't remember how much exaclty .I also done the whole youtube videos to get a better understanding on the vehicle and not to leave out that I went to edmunds and gotten the retail price as well. So here is the deal I planning on buying the car outright , I hate playing monthly . So My deal is I'm going to drop 30 k cash and use the car as a trade in , oh in case you wondering what car is it that I'm willing to trade in for ; is a SRT-4 2005 bone stock so it kept it's little value but the body needs work but other than that what do you guys recommend should I do with all of this options

How do I deal with this, I come in and say "I want to pay invoice for my G37 coupe" The sales guy says I have to make a little profit on it. Does the sales guy get anything if I pay invoice? I know there are dealer hold backs and all sorts of incentives they don't tell us about. But does the dealer get all of that? or does the sales guy get some? Personally I don't care if the sales guy dies in a fiery crash. But I don't feel confident on a comeback on that statement from the sales guy.

This was a great read, and something I recommend all my customers to read. The only problem I saw was holdback. If a customer came up to asking for holdback, it is bad-news bears, haha. The holdback will basically cover the taxes on the car the dealer has to pay. The only guy that will see the holdback money is the owner. Sales will not see it, meaning it is a mini deal ~$100 or less per car. I would not recommend mentioning holdback, it is a bitter subject, haha.

Sorry, didn't see your post. If you pay invoice and there are no incentives, the sales guy will see a mini deal ($100 or less, depending on the dealer). Chances are, he or she will not sell at invoice for that reason only. I already mentioned holdbacks, but incentives are available to anyone. If
someone came to me asking for our incentives, I always tell them.

A good comeback is simple, "Then at what price will you sell to me where you make some coin and I save plenty?" Be kind to the sales people. This is a living for some people. remember, you're going to them for a sale, not the other way around.

It is a shame to hear you with a painful death for your sales guy, I don't feel that way about you.
