Under invoice possible on a 08 G37S 6MT?

I was given a quote of $500 over invoice for a 2008 G37S 6MT with minimal options, is $500 below invoice a realistic counter offer?

I know the "invoice" sheet the dealer showed me is probably inaccurate as their cost is definitely not the invoice price.

I paid 500 over invoice for my car in February (with 2 year service/lifetime oil changes thrown in though) so you should be able to get a better price with the 09s coming out soon.

When I got my car in June I paid $350 over invoice. You should see the deals they have now. They are practically giving them away. If you are close to Atlanta, GA go to Gwinette Infiniti.

You are correct...dealers are incentivised by the manufacturer. Negotiate your deal below invoice...best of success with your deal and please let us know the outcome.

Thanks for the advice and I will try to counter with an offer under invoice since 2009's are coming soon. Also, I wasn't actually thinking of buying a car until spring of next year but the 1.9% APR as well as the low pricing is too tempting to pass up...

When factory incentives are allowed, yes however they must be disclosed.

I got mine 600 under invoice PLUS I got a list of stuff on it all for cost. Make them make you a deal, they will. Be firm but polite and if the salesman starts to get weird and do the back forth thing look him in the eye and ask for the decision maker, or tell him you'll leave, works every time.

Well, I bit the bullet yesterday. Couldn't pass up the good financing deal and got tired of looking at the posts on this board about how nice these cars are, and looking at all of your photos posted of them all over.

I got the Blue Slate Sport 6mt/Graphite int. with prem., ikp, spoiler, etc. didn't want or get the Tech. or nav though. Awesome drive home!

The MSRP was about 41210. The dealer invoice appeared to be about 37675 or so and my research seemed to confirm that. I got mine for right at 400 under invoice, which I felt was a fair deal, maybe not a smokin' hot deal, but a decent one none the less.

So far, put about 30 miles on it (Bummer, I Had to work today)

So, not that it matters a lick, I got the wheels now, what do you think? You all figure the deal was decent??
