man, people get banned around here for some stupid reasons.

His points are valid. maybe lacked a little tact, but certainly nothing someone should be banned over!

As for someone commenting on inflation, of course thats an issue, but any savy investor or simply someome planning for retirement factors all that into things. ALSO, not really a fare comparison. Inflation isn't, and likely never will be like it was all those years ago. Don't know how bad it is in the US, but here in Canada it's FAR less than 3% over the last 10 years.
