seems to me like that's still over invoice.

I built your car on edmunds.com and even added the Splash Gaurds, Trunk Mat, Cargo Net and still came up with an MSRP of 43,060. That yields an invoice price of 39,243

I wouldn't pay over invoice right now.

You may also want to look at the 24 month lease as it's residual seems to be a better deal overall.

I would think you should be able to get either lease in the low 500s.

Being in SD, you should be able to get invoice price, at the very least, no more than $100 over. We have a lot of competition here in So Cal. If you can save yourself another $1000 or so, I would consider making the drive up to LA/OC area if the SD folks don't want to deal.

Take a trip north to Santa Monica, talk to Nichole De La Cruz, she'll beat your deal. Or email her, ndelacruz@infinitiofsantamonica.com, and ask for a quote. Tell her Graham sent you, I've been sending a lot of people to her and she's been awesome with all of them.

Way too much

Pay invoice or less. Your monthly payments seem very high for a three year lease. You can do better - negotiate.

John,

The best time to buy is near the end of the month (the last day is perfect - albeit, they may not have the car you want to buy).

Do your research - know your numbers, i.e., MSRP, invoice, money factor rate (usually expressed like this - 0.00195), residual after two and three years, and your credit rating.

Armed with this information, you are ready to negotiate. If they have the car on the lot; they will be anxious to sell it. If not, and they have to go and get it...well, this could be problematic.

Keep in mind, dealers will not call every dealer to search for your car. They have relationships with only so many dealers. Dealers close to them are seen as competitors. That close and competitor dealer may have your car, but you will not know unless you call or email.

You need to call the dealerships and find your car. Use technology to assist you - the Internet!

Best of success!

Semper Fi - happy 4th of July - ooh rah!

Your payment is higher due to this dealer (Kearny Mesa?) is rolling in your bank acquisition into the cap cost. Better play is to pay it up front in the driveoff with no cash cap reduction ($0 down) instead and you'll have a lower payment. You'll still be paying approximately the same driveoff however however you're not paying as much finance charges in the end therefore achieving a little better in monthly.
