I would ask for the money factor the residual value and make sure they are one of these...(these are IFS numbers)
G37 Sport
24mo/12k - .00184 - 75%
G37 Base
24mo/12k - .00184 - 75%
G37 Journey
24mo/12k - .00184 - 74%

Once thats confirmed...then ask for the MSRP and the sale price.
Edmunds will show you what the invoice price is for the exact car you want.

In the end, the only thing you should try to pay for is the inception fees (1st month, dmv fees, tire tax, bank and doc fees) You can ask for those too so you know how much it to pay at signing.

I think Seattle area tax is like 10% or so right? I'm just not sure if it's calculated monthly or up front. In Cali, we get taxed on a monthly basis.
One you have that...pop them into a lease calculator and you'll know what your monthly payments will be.

If the monthly payments end up being too high and the dealer won't budge on the sale price, then consider putting some money towards cap cost reduction.

See if you can get all the numbers from your dealer and post them here to get everyone's thoughts on it.

Ok, possible Dumb question but lets say I was sent an offer of approx $2000 down which covers DMV, tax, title, etc and $417/month for 24 months (12k miles a year) for a Sport with Navi+Prem+spoiler.

Does the cost of the car reall matter in the end? I was under the impression that that would just be a total of $11,888 out of pocket. When the Lease is done, you bring the keys, and car in hopefully perfect condition, and keep it moving... or trade for another. So where does the other numbers come into play (ie money factor, residual, etc)

Thanks for the great info so far.

Sale Price, Residual and Money Factor determines your monthly payments. Lease Formula. As you can see, your monthly payment is determined by how much your car sells for, how long you intended to lease for and how much interest rate you are being charged.

Here is a write-up called "Don't Negotiate Monthly Payments" which might be worth your time if you want to know more about leasing.

It might be worth your time to download a lease calculator and play around with the numbers to see how it affects your monthly payments.

I'm willing to put $3000 up front and a 24 month 12000 miles a year lease, my credit score is excellent.

What can I expect for my payments, is it possible to bargain with the dealers?
I saw someone posted that they're getting a 0 cash, 24 month, 12000 miles lease for under <$400, this seems a little too good to be true, is it? Are they going to be reluctant to lease me a car since I'm 20 years old? or will the fact that I bought my G35 at the same dealership help me?

DOMO
That's similar to my car, call Nichole De La Cruz @ Santa Monica Infiniti, if your in Socal. I'm in O.C. and still got my car from her.

So what they wanted was $5000 cash down (My credit score is excellent, but because I'm 20 my credit history is not long enough and I didn't want my parents to cosign on the lease) 12k a year 39 month lease with $515 monthly for the automatic with sports package no navigation, that was way more than I wanted to pay for the 37 so I ended up "leasing" the 08 CL550 off my parents, cut a deal with them for $600 monthly, still keeping the G35 though.
