Where am I giving terrible buying advice? I make deals and sell cars, not hoping and praying that my local "Disneyland" Infiniti dealership will return my call or email on a ridiculous buy offer. This is the reason why you're still not driving this vehicle to this day.

Since you want to take this to a personal level, I do drive an Infiniti, a 4Runner, and a sport bike as well. I make plenty of money doing what I do which I'm pretty sure is more than you since I can find the extra few bucks to actually get into one vs. you being so cheap and petty on "OMG, the dealer is making money off of you". Congrats, you actually payed a little attention in economics class in high school (or was that school high?) to understand that every business has the right to make at least a little profit to survive and continue to provide products and services to their community.

Seriously Mike, were you not breast fed as a child or something? Were you bullied by the girls as a little boy? Was your biggest accomplishment in grade school was to "PWN" Tecmo Super Bowl on Nintendo? Did you need a helmet to climb a tree because you kept falling down? I'm just trying to understand (not that I really care anymore, but you decided to make me a target now) how and why you want to talk down this vehicle yet you are the one who took the time to sign up here and start posting your garbage here. Community forums are great for consumers to share information about the process and post-sale experiences, but you are just posting up nothing but negativity. Realize that every store that you visit will make a profit from your purchase. Boycott Starbucks, Kroger's, AT&T, and every other business and just don't buy and use their products and services if you don't like the fact that they will profit from your transaction.

You've yet to say anything remotely close to intelligent to sustain any of your claims and here you are, still hoping and praying that someone will hear your cry to sell you this "entry level luxury" car that you're still drooling over at the lowest price that could have ever been made in recorded history. Buy that Bentley or Hyundai; I won't bat an eye in the end. I sold four Infinitis today and every one got a great deal on their purchases and are happy. All deals were completely disclosed and they knew what was going on and understood the process and figures. Am I giving horrible car-buying advice? If I was, I wouldn't have referrals and high CSI ratings at the end of the day if that were true. Once again Mike, friend to friend, all the best in your search for a car.

When haven't you been asking for below invoice deals with all, if not some, of holdback? In fact, your very first post in this very thread mentions just this.

Wow..sounds like DaveISM really has a chip on his shoulder. I'm surprised you're still in business.

Back off your smart-alec remarks. You're giving Infiniti dealers a bad name.

Dave does a great job of pretending...as any salesman would.

Yes, you should be giving up some holdback of certain models. I also said you can make your money on financing.

You can't expect 5% profit as your min with current market conditions. This market barely even warrants 3% for car dealers.

I have a corporate vehicle until late may/early june. Im in no hurry to rush into a deal.
No car buyer should purchase a vehicle without pushing each dealer to its lowest cost.

Apparently it is:

From infinitiofsantamonica.com:
Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

---

Edit: I guess dude works at Cerritos Infiniti, not Infiniti of Santa Monica as I had previously thought

From cerritosinfiniti.com:
Monday - Saturday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

So why not post your best price on the forum?

Wow, there are some true idiots on here, ***cough highmike***.
I work in sales as well and I'll be the 1st to admit that car salesmen seem to be dishonest and double dealing at times, but really, I've seen Dave's comments in this thread and others and have nothing but respect for him. Mike, try to make a point without swearing-That's how grownups do it.
Like Dave said, EVERYONE sells to make a profit.
I'm looking at closing on my G by the end of the week and while the price may not be ROCK BOTTOM low, I think the price was fair and I got the car I wanted. Nuff said. The problem is people try to compare deals and prices from all over the country without looking at mkt conditions for a particular mkt. Cali is not Ohio, Florida is not Texas. Prices and deals WILL vary not just on location but mkt conditions there as well. If the mkt for the G is hot somewhere, do you think the dealer will go way below invoice for you? Um, no. I'm in Columbus and now that the weather is getting better, the damn things are flying off the lot, depression be damned, lol.

That being said, I do hate when dealers do the run around on price. I got that from Toyota and Mitsubishi. As you can tell with me being on this forum, my money's going to Infiniti...(The Lexus IS350 almost won tho')
All I can say is measure the entire experience. Is this a dealership you'd like to do business with in the future? Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather get a good/fair price and great service and a good relationship with my dealer than a kick 'im in the ***** GREAT price and a crappy relationship.

Just my $0.02

Good for you Dave!!! I own my own business and agree that we all need to make a profit. I also agree with HighMike. I think that most car sales men are out to cheat you.

Cant we all just get along???

In the end if you do your homework you'll get a good deal...

Im an idiot because I call Dave out for telling customers to negotiate from invoice instead of dealers mrsp?! Or were you so offended by the ***** language that you couldnt see the warrants in argumentation?

Grow up dude, people cuss and its the internet. Wahhh wahh

Your long paragraph added nothing to the discussion.

No one says that dealers shouldnt make profit.
Dealers can sell below invoice yet still make profit through financing, holdbacks or manufacturing incentives.

Car salesman like Dave cry about not making profit to help keep consumers dumb about the car-buying process.

Actually Mike, I'm not offended. Why would I be offended that you choose to be ignorant and childlike in a forum of adults?
I can cuss with the best of them, however when I'm having a discussion I tend to try to not curse unless it's truly warranted, but I guess it is in your case as you truly are an idiot...
I have no issue with u calling Dave, me or any other member of this forum out, but again, as adults we can discuss an issue and "agree to disagree without being violently disagreeable".

But I don't expect you to get it...
Have a good evening.
