I leased my car on 2/18/2008 and paid 1500 drive off (taxes and first month)

I got my first statement yesterday and my due date is on 3/18. What happened to the first month...Is this correct??? Do I pay in advance meaning this payment is for the month of April? Or a typo??

 

if it says you have to pay by the 3/18, i think you have too. just go complain with your dealership and ask them about it. it should have been 4/18 is when your next payment is due.

Call the finance company that financed you and ask them since you paid $1,500 taxes and first month how come your payment is due in March instead of April. They will explain it to you.

 

I'm sorry, but hasn't a month gone by already? I don't believe lease payments are in arrears. Your March 18th payment is for April.

 

That 1500 hundred you put down covered February's payment, which uis considered the first month you have the car. For example, if you bought the car on the last day of the month, that's when your payment is due. But you actually had the option of having the payment moved to max of 7 days of the purchase day of the car. So I got mine on the 10th but i had it moved to the 17th.

 

your each payment is for the following month so now u paying for april

 

yeah like other said you're paying from March 18 to April 18.
