I don't know if the money factor will go down soon. But the special Dec deals are still in effect for the whole month of Jan.
$500 rebate for non infiniti owners and $1000 rebate for current infiniti owners

It seems like the Fed is likely to continue lowering rates, at least in the near term. Not sure how this will affect money factors though. Anyone have a guess?

The outlook for car sales doesn't seem to be very good for this year. I would think that automakers would continue to lower their rates and money factors over the next few months to keep enticing people to buy cars. But if they lower them TOO much, they start to eat into future sales because people might decide to buy earlier than they planned. Kind of what happened to the American automakers awhile back when they were offering 0% financing. I'm really just speculating though and tossing out some ideas for discussion.

Bit of a finance geek myself, though I work more on the M&A side of finance.

IFS just lowered the MF a good bit. They a now very much in line with major competitors. I can't see rates dropping that much in the near term, so no I would not say its a bad time to lease. Considering many just paid sticker with no rebate and a .00285 MF I'd say its a good time.

i think this is a good time of the year to lease or buy, i could be wrong. plus they still have that 2.9 for 36 months. you pay about 1350 interest for 30k. buy now if you do not want to pay crazy interest later in the year.

maybe we can do a FAQ thread on leasing or buying. or maybe make a thread where peeps can ask guys like you questions? im sure the first questions will all be the same but will serve as a good ref for future buyers.. i'd like to ask you about some things too. i already leased my G37S but i had questions about refinancing after the lease and intrests etc...

you seem like a good source!

thanks

typically when the MF goes down so does the residual. Now is about as good as any to lease. If you wait too much longer the residual will drop quite a bit as the year passes.
