When I bought my wife's Camry it had 23 miles on it. I almost didn't but it, until they came down to below invoice.

I saw my perfect car for 240 Miles I rejected and went 150 Miles away to get a Car with 9 Miles, Ya I put 150 Miles driving it back, but I drove it, not a bunch of test drivers that floored the car, I wouldnt take anything at max over 20-30. And about getting it for invoice? I bought my car close to invoice, and people are buying them brand new for invoice, you should get it at least a $1k below Invoice!

If you don't buy it, some other sucker will.
I agree with others here, and wouldn't buy it myself.
If you're buying a new car, you want a new car.

Guys, how about 148 miles?
Dealership did not have the car I wanted in stock and I believe they did a dealer swap. I did not pay for any shipping. What should I do?

Thanks

If they did a dealer swap thats pretty reasonable.

Just remember to go in there with the attitude that you don't care if you get this car (if you haven't wrote out a deal you like) so they don't try to screw you over. You are going to enjoy the new ride though, at least most of the people on here love this car.

the 500 mile car is already out of the picture, but i'll post on the topic anyway:

the thing to really consider here is value. i think you would be very hard pressed to find someone who would tell you that a car is an investment. every car you buy (especially new) will depreciate. it will lose value. 500 miles is a lot. that is about 2 tanks of gas (if you drive aggressively - which we all prob do).

okay, so think about the following: how wil you be driving your car in the first 500 miles? if you will be ripping through gears and treating your car the same as the one you took your test drive on, then does it really matter? if i do a burnout in your car, or you do it.. the vehicle will be in the same condition. only you know how you plan to drive your car.

it's been said here a lot, and i'll agree that you can get any car off a lot for invoice. i would not take a car with 500 miles for invoice if i could get one with 25 for invoice.

i got my car with 72 miles on it. much more than i was happy with. i brought that to my salesman's attention and gave him 2 options. i told him that i love the car, and i am definately going to buy one. i told him that it is not imperative that i drive out of the dealership in this car, and i'd be just as happy driving a new one in 3 months. so i told him that if they tint my windows for free and give me a spoiler and install at cost, i'll take it. if not, i'll just order the new one.

they prefered to move the car. daily, i drive very aggressively, so i doubt that anything could have happened on test drives that i dont do every single day.

so it all comes back to value. what do YOU value?
