Yes, agreed, verbal agreement does hold true from a lawful standpoint.

Written Agreement > Verbal Agreement... If you agree verbally but sign a different contract, the written one will govern, not the verbal.

Sorry I took so long, but I am too busy studying for my sergeant's exam. Well, I did ended paying up the diffence because I do not want to feel like I am stealing someone elses money. I say this because of way they were calling me everyday and the way they were demanding it. I did make a mistake and signed eventhough another price was agreed upon. In my field of work I learned that documents have a higher value than someones "WORD". This car is number fithteen. I have never had a problem like this throughout the years. Well it gets better! right after I paid I recieved a letter from infiniti of Manhattan telling me that if I was disastified with any part of the buying process to first contact them before I fill out the Infiniti corporate "official" survey. A couple of days later I recieved the "official" survey and I stated in the survey what happened to me word for word and so forth. Four days later the guy (finance guy/manager) calls me up and tells me how can I do this to them and how much I hurt the dealership. He tells me that we could have gotten to an agreement ( I was oferred a free oil change for the misunderstanding) and that it did not have to come to a negative feedback on the survey. We basically argued on the phone for about twenty minutes and all he said over and over is how much I hurt the dealership. This is the same guy that would not talk to me for more than ten seconds before he transfer me to the saleguy so that I can give him my credit card number. This is the same guy that said before I paid that if I did not pay the next day the issue will be transfer to the legal department and my credit will be destroyed............................

If that is how he's treating you, I would take it up to corporate and let them know. I don't think the dealers can call you and harass you when they receive a bad review. Call up Infiniti.

^^^ Good point, they had the upper hand earlier, you had it in the end. You did the right thing by being honest on the survey, otherwise they might feel like they could pull another fast one on someone else.

Thumbs down

Sounds like they deserved what they got in the survey. And it's a good thing Infiniti is holding dealerships accountable for their behavior. Any incongruency to Infiniti's customer strategy, and I can see this go downhill for that dealership.

Outrageous that the salesman gave you a call to chew you out. They don't deserve your business. Totally unacceptable.

If you can, don't even go to them for service.

Definately dont go to them for service.

How can they be mad at you? You detailed your buying experience, right? As long as your review was honest and true, they have nothing to say. If the guy calling you back really upset you, I would contact someone at Infiniti Corporate. How is it right that the dealership can contact you to complain about your responses?? I wouldnt stop until that idiot is on the street, he belongs in a cheap used car lot.

You have to remember, this is Inifiniti, not Nissan. You should expect nothing less than a luxury experience.

Was a mistake made at closing? Yes. Was it handled appropriately? No.

It sounds like whoever closed your paperwork goofed and instead of going through the correct channels, tried to badger you for the money like a debt collector. UNACCEPTABLE! A regional supervisor should have contacted you about the issue and made it right. They didnt need to give you a free GTR, but they should have made it right.

Don't take any shiet from them and definitely don't let them get away with that. Demand actions from corporate.

you should have never gave in.
yes "written contract > verbal contract"

but what would they do? take you to court?
honestly.. the proof is all there... if all along, they knew the correct prcing,, then why did they accept an "incorrect" check and give you the keys.

any judge would have sided with you...

and the icing on the cake.. after the survey they call saying you "hurt them"?!?!!?
what kind of customer service is that?!?! i'd give infiniti corporate TONS OF ****.

Really great point there!!

If I were you, I'd ask Infiniti Corporate for your money back! Tell them you've changed your mind!

^^ yeah and that's what i said before he caved in... it's pretty black and white if you ask me.

look at it this way... if he mistakenly wrote that he owed $100,000 at delivery instead of $1,000... but the verbal agreement between both parties was $1,000... what do you think would happen...

actually.. the whole thing could be turned on the dealership.. and they could get in some serious trouble.... i'd say it could be proved that there was some intent there. SERIOUSLY.. why else would the check have been accepted... REALLY REALLY think about it.
