Fair price for a G37 in the Dallas/Ft Worth area?
Fair price for a G37 in the Dallas/Ft Worth area?
Hi folks, I've been lurking on this forum for quite some time now as I've always wanted a G for my new car. Sounds kinda creepy....but anyhoo, I'm in the dallas/ft worth area and was wondering what a fair price would be for a non sport prem/nav/tech package would be. I've been to 1 dealer and counted about 25 g37's on the lot, doesn't seem to move as well as I thought they'd be. Is it out of the question to get 2,000 off MSRP? I'm in no rush, probably looking at a purchase at the end of the year. I'm stuck between an IS350 and g37 and am leaning towards the G, if anyone has bought their G in the DFW area and are willing to share on pricing, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you all in advance.
I'm actually from the DFW area, born and raised for 23 Years. Now I'm at Infiniti of Fairfield in the Bay Area of California (Nor Cal). We sell G37's at Invoice and often ship cars to DFW.
What part do you live in? I lived in Plano.

I would think that $2K off MSRP in DFW should be very doable, especially in a couple of months after the initial rush has subsided more. In Houston 2 of us got a deal for $2K over invoice and others got the same. If Dallas won't do the deal someone in Houston will. By the end of the year I'd think you may be able to get $3K or more off MSRP.
Thanks for the replies, I was thinking no one was around the DFW area. Inf of Fairfield, if you're for real and that's true and you can ship a G37 to DFW for invoice, I might be talking to you in a month or two. How would that work btw? do you have a local rep that does the deal here or would the buyer have to fly out to California to get the deal done? I'm in the Mid-Cities area of DFW (Hurst, Euless, Bedford) a stone's throw away from Grubb's Infiniti and they've at least 20+ G37's on the lot.
From the looks of it, I don't think the G37's are selling all that well considering the car has been out for almost two months and I've yet to see one on the road...which is good for the buyer but also speaks to how the car's pricing might be a little too close to the competition. Good to see that Houston has already gotten 2K over invoice, will be interesting to see where this heads especially around late November with it being end of month/quarter/year.

I live in Dallas.
Crest Infiniti offered me a Journey + Sport + Premium + spoilier for $42k out the door.
I dunno if that was a good deal or not...but they did not have black or blue slate...so I peaced on the offer.

Hmmm.... it seems as if the deals ARE to be had in Dallas. This might swing me back from the IS350 to the G37. Will only get better as the year winds down. I think this car can be had close to invoice once the new year comes around, end of month/quarter/year.... GL to everyone still looking and congrats to everyone that has purchased.
I used to live in Dallas and will be moving back in January. Stay away from Crest Infiniti. I'd go to Grubbs first to wheel and deal then go to Sewell next. You should be able to get some good deals at the time of your purchase time frame. good luck. My G35 is running strong so I'm in no rush to pull the trigger on a new g37.
I think in a couple of months, it'll come down to how much off MSRP I can get for the G37. I'm still stuck between the IS350 and the G and my mind changes every other day. I'm fickled that way but the good thing is...I don't think I can go wrong with either as a choice for my next ride.
I checked out both cars last weekend. The G37's trunk is less than what I'd like. The IS350's trunk is very useable and has plenty of space for many pieces of luggage. I'm torn between the IS350, G37 coupe or G37 sedan. I'm going to test drive all of them to see which I like best.
Don't forget the G37's trunk can hold two full size golf bags (see picture on inside trunklid) and it folds down to allow for more storage.
That being said, I can't remember the last time I put something big in my trunk that didn't fit in either my backseat or small trunk.

Well, I went and test drove both cars the other day and it pains me to say in a G37 forum but I think I'm leaning towards the IS350. First went to the Lexus dealership, told the salesman right away that my buying time frame isn't immediate. Knowing this, he still was very cool on the test drive, we took the car on this little route in the back roads with some twists and turns and the IS is a hoot, this car is seriously quick folks, I didn't realize it until I floored it and heard the engine scream. We also got a chance to play a little bit with the nav system in the IS and I loved the interface of the nav.
As far as the G37 goes, i went in the dealership, a guy comes up smiling and upon hearing that I wasn't ready to buy that day, passed me to someone else. We got to test drive an automatic and acceleration in the G37 is more brute from a roll than the IS. I loved the fact that the steering column moved with the steering wheel on adjustment but just felt that the car was a bit big for me. I'm a small guy 5 6" on a good day and ~140lbs. However, the G37 definitely handled the corners very well even for its size. The one downside that I noted errr...my buddy that went with me noted is that the back seat for the G37 was horrible. My buddy is ~5 3" and he said his head was rubbing the top of the rear windshield on the test drive. When asked if I could hear the Infiniti studio on wheels/see the nav system...which was not available on the test car...salesman didn't seem like he wanted to sit through and show me the system...I'm guessing because I'm not willing to buy at that moment.
Maybe my mind is leaning towards the IS because I actually spent some time in the car and I just feel the car fits me a lot better. Please don't take this as me flaming the G as I love the car and have always loved it since the seeing the concept. Just wanted to share with the forum what I thought about the 2 cars...not that it really matters what I think but hey....
