Finally got around to putting on the paddles today. Had to trim some of the new steering column cover because it wasn’t allowing the paddles any space to move. I’m gonna guess that’s because these are off a Nissan maxima. I paid $44 for these paddles off 2013 maxima

Got this wireless magnetic phone charger from z1. Pretty cool. As soon as you place it on the magnet it starts charging but also connects to the Bluetooth for music

Got the z1 “race” intake. I went with the 2.5 inch tubes because 3 requires a tune and I’m not ready for that yet.

Good job on the intakes, OP!

Have you considered using filter bags?

Yep. I don't have a long-tube intake with exposed filters, but if I did then I'd absolutely research getting bags over them.

So what is keeping the filters from banging around there on the frame? I don't see any support brackets. And not sure I'd trust those worm-gear clamps. Maybe some T-bolts?

Looking back in your thread... Berk cats, megan y-pipe, and Z1 long toooob intake... are you gearing up for a tune?

filter-wears is the brand the motorcycle people like, and I've had no issues with them. About $30 per filter sock.

yeah I kinda jumped the gun and put these on without the hydroshields. It’s definitely something I’m going to get very soon. Til then I just won’t drive it in the rain.

As far as what’s keeping it in place, when the tubes go through the radiator core it’s a tight fit. Very tight fit. So tight in fact that that is what’s keeping it there. But like you I had my concerns about the filters bouncing up and down. So I took (2) 21 inch zip ties and put those around the filter neck and the radiator support. Very subtle and discreet. You even have to look real good to be able to see the filters through the grill which I like.

And yes,I would a tune by the end of this year. I have to finish the last section of my Frankenstein exhaust which will be some sort of y back. Z1 sells a y back so perhaps I’ll go with them. That’ll probably be the extent of “performance” parts as I plan on buying a long block and build something real nice.

thank you. Will definitely look into it. $30 a sock isn’t bad and is cheaper then water getting in there
