It's kind of misleading. There's almost 500 total users on right now and there was almost 1000 yesterday. Unfortunately, 90% are guests. Unless you want to go on FB....this is your best bet; maybe the Z forum?

not g37 specific. Ft86club, infinitiq50, occasionally infinitiq60 and the370z. Been trying to get more active on here though.

The problem is once a platform has been out for so long there isn’t much new information, things start getting repetitive and people just search for what they need and don’t need to post.

Did a few mods recently.
Got some XP80 (510 lumens) Diode dynamic LEDs and D2S - Osram Xenerac HID Bulbs, Diode Dynamics tail as turn, and Painted my front grille a satin black with a satin clear coat.
Also upgraded the 4 fans on my oil cooler found some IP68 with 77CFM vs the 44CFM I had, a lot more airflow.
Removed the windshield washer fluid reservoir and installed a mini chase bays 19oz WWF reservoir.
Installed an external trans filter, external trans pump, and coolant to ATF heat exchanger. (This has greatly sped up trans warmup)
Have a few pics of these last 2 mods.

I see the pictures now. Interesting setup. Looks like a german heat exhanger.

If by German you mean for brewing beer, then yes. lol.
Although the purpose can be used for anything it is oil, and fuel compatible. High temp, high pressure and corrosion resistant etc...

For the coolant I had already bypassed the TB coolant loop, actually removed the hard lines in the rear all together, just have to take the rear coolant Line and flip it around to connect the two coolant nipples and remove everything else, the hose is the prefect length and angles to fit perfectly in that orientation. To add the coolant heat exchanger into the system I just used that line for one side and the driver side coolant nipple for the other. The heat exchanger gets pretty hot to the tough pretty quickly even just idling.

Similar to many Mercedes heat exchangers. Would have never thought about using the rear lines, though I was thinking about making a custom plate to the Thermostat Side plate. Someone needs to make this plate with -6 AN fittings. That rear feeding line could go braided and save folks a ton of space on that area.

Oh didn't know Mercedes/German used that style. Seems like a more efficient design vs the typical cylinder style I see a lot like on other cars like infiniti's.

I take it because of the actual need for them. You'd see these cars typically more in colder climates than you would Nissans. Germans also have a history of heating/cooling everything in their vehicles.
More luxurious cars have coolant cooled alternators

Well most cars especially newer have them, a lot of nissans, infinitis, toyotas etc... all have them. but its often a cylinder like this, as apposed to the rectangular stacked plates like I'm using and apparently Mercedes/German cars use. This is actually the first car I've had a long time that does not have one of these from factory.

I was surprised as well. Only the Z comes with a heat exchanger but the sucker falls really short of expectations.

Ooo external transmission fluid filter?!?! Please do tell. And show. More pics.

I will continue to live vicariously through so many of y'alls great builds of these platforms. I'm still waiting to hear the official bad news of my car being a total loss.

Keep up the awesome build thread!

Yeah, its a magnefine 3/8 magnetic inline trans filter.
it’s advisable when adding a heat exchanger and external pump to get an external filter before those.

Installed Vibra-Technics Fast Road engine mounts and GKTech rear diff brace this weekend.

Also got/made a rain Guard and filter sock for my intake air filter, in about 5 months of driving the filter turned black on the side exposed to the grille. I was also concerned with heavy rain, and vehicles splashing/kick back water and it getting into the air filter.

I think this solution will resolve both of these issues perfectly without being any sort of restriction.
