By any chance would you happen to have pics of the underside of your seats?
I wanted to take a look at the difference between cool/heated seats of the convo vs the sedan and coupe.

unfortunately not. The conv seat is way different then the coupe/sedan seats I know that.

Honest opinion: are the cooled seats really that effective? After all, it is just a fan... Just curious...

honestly they don’t do that much. They came in clutch when I had the top down and the sun was beating down on the seats throwing that on helped a lot. But as far as keeping you cool while driving it’s not that effective.

I remember at one point years ago I considered swapping seats. I forget why I abandoned that idea but settled for just swapping to the headrest speakers and called it a day.

If the seats actually blew cold, conditioned air- and especially around the neck area like some Mercedes seats- then it would have been a upgrade.

Yes I painted both, I sanded the center tray down then dyed it. That part was giving me issues so I hit it with 10+ coats and then hit it with clear coat to seal everything in. That’s why it looks a little shiny. I will say though it’ll definitely come off if scratched. When the weather starts getting a little warmer I’m going to revisit that just some imperfections that **** me off but you wouldn’t notice at a glance. I will say if you’re going to start this venture dedicate at least 12+ hours to disassemble and lay 10+ coats with a sponge brush. I used a heat gun to speed the process up but still took me a while to do it.
Awesome, yeah I've been thinking about red seats for a long time! Thank you! Any pics of the seat with use? No issues with wear or rubbing?

I would take a picture right now but I’m currently installing the cat back so I have it on the lift. I’ll send pics later on today. Honestly no no cracks or bleeds or anything like that only thing I noticed is on the driver seat on the side facing out had some cracks but the leather was already shot before I dyed it. I had to redo that area but since the touch up hasn’t given me an issue.

I will say I do keep up with it I condition the leather at least once a month to keep it moist and not dry.

Thank you for the words of encouragement! I am an banker by trade and I’m doing this by guesstimating a lot.

my cat back install is taking a little longer then expected with the bolts being totally rusted. You can tell the elements did a number on this cars underbody.

will post up some pics once completed.

So another project comes to an end. I finally have a cat back installed on the vert. I know options are limited for us vert owners and being that I do not know of a local shop that can customize a cat back around our extra braces these verts have I narrowed it down to stillen 504402 and an invidia Gemini. I went with the invidia due to the fact that it shipped over night did not want to wait months to get it on.

install was straight forward, few rusty bolts but luckily the set up came with all new hardware. Here’s some pics of it on the lift.

now onto my fast intentions test pipes. Whenever those arrive lol I’m hoping next month.

After this the fast intention test pipes should be here in about 2 weeks!

So the paint is finally done. So happy with the way that it came out. Looks like a brand new car. Haven’t had the chance to throw the top down yet and get a nice shot of the interior with exterior color due to all this snow we have been getting. Hoping to do so tomorrow. Noticed a few things like my drivers headlight wouldn’t turn on and my windshield wiper fluid wasn’t shooting it so I’m bringing her back in the shop tomorrow to get those fixed. Maybe they didn’t wire things back up correctly when they put her back together but who knows. Once I get some better pictures I will post them here but for now going to do some minor things and hopefully I should be putting in my test pipes soon and will update the thread once that’s complete
