I'm very excited for my new carbon fiber hood to come in! Mine will be the second one made and I get a cool plaque with it! I got big plans for what will be under that window cut out but I'll keep it a surprise until I get close.

You should tape a picture beneath the cutout that looks like you have a hamster on a wheel for an engine and then shock everyone when you actually open the hood.

The 4.08 gears are AMAZING. A must for 6MT NA cars.

I agree on the gears. Really wakes it up. The hood looks cool too. Too bad the intake plenum is not more interesting to look at.

Don't worry the end goal is ITB's. Might be awhile though.

Yes. Has been my goal for this car the entire time. It will be challenging financially since it will have to be custom and will require a stand alone most likely. My best friend is an engineer, worst case I will work with him to design it. It's a future goal though, I'm more than happy with what I have for now, flaws and all. It's fun and that's what is most important to me.

That sounds like a heck of a project. I didn't think anyone made anything like that. Look at 80's V-6 Alfa Romeos for inspiration- maybe some of the most beautiful V6 intakes ever produced. I had the Z1 ported intake plenum, but it looked exactly like yours with a little silver "Z1" badge. lol

I think the G37 is the perfect car for that sticker. In fact, I considered 4DSC for my license plate for a while. Can you explain the vent on your rear windows? Like do they let air out, but not water in so you don't have to remove them?

To cool the inside of the car down on track days without having to roll your windows down or run AC. I still have AC though. I don't drive the car in the rain but they take thirty seconds to remove.

Why don't you just roll down your windows on track days, or is it enough to get rid of the buffetting effect at speed?

I'd worry the ITB idea would have issues with the fact that the VQ throttles through the valve timing/lift and keeps the throttle bodies open all the time.

Having said that, I've done ITBs from a 1600cc bike on a 1.8L Miata motor and it sounded wicked. Had to use a Megasquirt to get it to run though. ITBs, if they'd work on the VQ without a haltec or other complete ECU replacement, would be <chefs kiss>

There is no buffeting effect with these, however I haven't truly experimented with just cracking them without these.

I know ITB's have been done but I believe an HR head was used. Also OBX made some for the DE's. They were being sold for HR motors but I never got a response back from the company. https://www.onpointdyno.com/onpoint-...now-available/
