Doom's G37S 6MT Build

Bought this car as a rebuilt salvage title. $11,500, 54k miles. I was originally looking for a beater G since I had a bunch of mods on my 07 G35X, but this rare 6MT came up and I couldn't refuse. Drove it to my work, an Infiniti dealership in Milwaukee, and had the techs inspect it to make sure it was straight before buying it. Came with a bunch of mods, was previously owned by Lobuzz on these forums who had some excellent taste in mods.

Mods it came with:
  • GTR start button.
  • LED interior lights
  • Short shifter
  • RJM Clutch pedal assembly
  • Takeda CAI
  • Eibach Sway bars
  • Glossblack grill and foglight housings
  • SPL Rear Camber Arms
  • SPC toe bolts
  • Tein Street Basics
  • Powdercoated coupe 19's
  • beatup J2 exhaust
  • berk hfc's
  • cusco strut tower bar
Goals: Nothing is 100% set in stone, but I want a well rounded street car. I want to be decent at drag racing, and decent at autocross, but also still enjoyable as cruiser, and looks good at the shows. Sure I won't be the master of any, but I can be well rounded. For now a 400+HP NA street car is fine. Long term probably will turbo.

What I've added from my G35X which I'm returning to stock:

  • OEM style Carbon Fiber hood.
  • Bella Carbon Fiber trunk
  • Carbon Fiber window visor.
  • Depot taillights (Stock is boring to me)
What I have to install or installed:

  • Rays 57XFF wheels. 20x10 +30 and 20x11 +18. These will not clear the rear fender see below.
  • Powdercoated remans to replace OEM Akebono's.
  • Z1 2 Piece Rotors kit. Just got the default pads, will add pads for autocross eventually.
  • Stillen Brake duct kit which will be routed through deleted foglights.
  • Oemassive smoked headlights with 7000k Coolblue boost bulbs
  • Carbon Fiber lip for sport bumper
  • Carbon Fiber side skirts
  • Carbon Fiber M-Fendz
  • SPC front camber arms from my G35X
  • Overfenders
  • X2 AGM battery (eventually will relocate to trunk)
  • Nismo shift ****
  • Deleted Washer fluid
  • Deleted spare.
Things I'm waiting on or can't install right away.

  • EPS throttle bodies
  • Admin 3" Intakes
  • Titanium Exhaust from Thaitanium Group Buy.
  • Tires: Nitto G2's. 265/35/20 and 315/30/20
Future mods:

  • Longtube headers
  • CF headlight covers
  • Autosignal CF diffuser
  • GTR injectors
  • Tune (hopefully on E85 too)
  • Ported Upper and Lower Intakes.
  • Racing seats
  • 18" lmgt4's in gloss black for race days
  • high end racing pads
  • Traction control delete/on/off switch.

I'm in to follow this project. Seems like a fine pick-up, salvage title notwithstanding.

Why do a few of your pics have a 2015 timestamp? And fender flares on a DD sedan?

I had just bought that camera and I didn't bother changing it. DD? It's not a daily if that's what you're implying. The ones I bought were more for mock up, what I actually end up getting or at the very least switching to will be more in line with this:
https://ulteriormotives.bigcartel.co...-flares-a-pair

Fender flares are a must for me on this car. The OEM rear offsets are extremely boring and the wheel selection for them isn't what I want. Most of the wheels I like are best at +22~

Picked up my Admin's, 3" TB's, and a ported upper intake for $950 today. Was a 2 hour drive but I'd call that worth it. Also got OEM suspension so I can sell the Stance setup from my X.

If your Stance set up will fit a 2011 X Sedan, PM me please. Glad you found a stock suspension

Working well outside of my comfort zones here. Just like the fenders the cf side skirts are not pre drilled and the slots for the clips are also not cut. I drilled the holes and cut slots for the clips using a dremel. To have them lined up I tried my best to trace the originals on a piece of paper and mark on the CF side skirts where to cut/drill. I still have to do this on the fenders, but those holes are a at least indented. Fenders have to go on first just for ease of install. It will be a small maricle of this ends up looking fine without a professional. I'm not a very skilled man... Not to get dark but I had no dad growing up so I literally never used tools until I turned 18 lol.

New hubs, duct baffle installed, and 10mm extended studs installed. Also doing the front calipers/2 piece rotors/pads up front, as well as the camber arms I took from my X. Need to get a huge socket to get my camber nut off.

Stripped both top spindle arm bolts, sadly on different days lol. At least I still get an employee discount at my old Infiniti dealership . Replaced the one but have to go back Monday for the other. One was my fault, other not. I could not get those top camber arm bolts quite to 120 ft lbs so hopefully they hold @ over 100. I feel like 1st stage end is getting near. Finished the other CF fender too.
