G37 Vert build
So I’m starting another build thread simply because the last one wasn’t very well maintained and I missed a ton of stuff. But here we go again! Car- automatic g37s convertible.
Current setup Mods/Cosmetic:
-Stillen Gen 3 CAI
-Motordyne M370 plenum
-GTR injectorsj
-Megan racing headers
-Berk test pipes
-Stillen catback
-Aeromotive 340lph pump
-Eibach lowering springs
-r1Concepts drilled and slotted rotors
-Ark performance 287 rims. (19x9.5+22F, 19x10+15R)
-starry nights halos
Ark performance rims on 235/40/19 Ventus v12 front tires 275/35/19 Toyo proxes rear tires.
Starry nights halos 👍🏻
Transmission work
Now onto the main reason for re doing this build thread.
after doing my tranny swap I was still having another issue which
we’re assuming to be the torque converter. Being and automatic
I’m stuck trying to decide what to do and could use some feedback from fellow G owners.
So as far as I can research the autos start having issues at about 400tq. Which is far below my goal of
650whp. Most recent dyno was 306whp/283tq and I still have to tune for e85. But back on topic. I’m uncertain
how I want to take this build finally. Recommendations would help as im stuck between, doing full
transmission work meaning level 10 valve body upgrade, torque converter, and fast intentions flex plate,
z1 lower intake plenum, single piece driveshaft, and a 125 shot. Or torque converter and very low boost single
turbo build? I know most of the pros and cons to each. But just uncertain as to which build may be better off
I’d also like to point out the reason for running low boost would be I would only have torque converter so my transmission
would still only be able to drive with around 500whp anyways. So either way this build goes will be quick
Knowing nos has potential to blow my block, I have a spare motor that i would be building for the 650whp I wanted.
which doesn’t require much but pistons and rods. Which I can then decide whether to turbo or just + the spray to 200-250 shot
-sorry the words are all out of wack. Doing it on my phone and it’s acting weird
