I'll detail execution. But, these are my thoughts. Black out the 4 center bars of the grill with vinyl, dip or dark tint. While leaving the top and bottom of the grill frame untouched (chrome). Then vinyl wrapping the Infiniti logo in Gloss Atomic Teal.

UPDATE: all chrome, including the emblems, will be a copper & bronze blend. Teal was too much pop.

UPDATE 2: the four middle bars of the grill are wrapped in Gloss Black VWS-I Vinyl. This will be removed and dipped in Gloss Black. The vinyl is a reasonable placeholder. The top and bottom bars remain chrome. The the Infiniti logo is dipped bronze.
The rear Infiniti logo is also now dipped bronze as is the single "G" left from the trim logo. Not sure if I'll be keeping the "G" or deleting. But, either way it's better in bronze.

UPDATE 3: Finished the rear end chrome delete today (1/9/16). Rear deck lid spoiler was chrome. Dipped in satin black to reduce its visibility.

UPDATE 4: Found some stupid chrome I had missed. There is a strip around the parcel shelf when the top is down. While I was covering the car I went ahead and sprayed the wiper arms to flow with the rest of the bronze.

*excuse the dirty car. I had just finished the spray and wanted a few pictures. She'll be cleaned up in the morning.

Ghost Courtesy Infiniti Emblem lights installed.
Took 2 minutes per door. They look great. I've got the factory illuminated sills which are a classy touch to the threshold. But, having planned and ordered white LEDs for the cabin made pulling the trigger on these a no brainer.

Nice white led courtesy lights with the Infiniti logo projected to the ground. Co-workers thought they were OEM option. Paid $19 for 2 on Amazon. Shipped Prime. Nice packaging and 2 additional replacement LEDs included.

Congrats on your new vert, looks like you've got some nice ideas. Those accent lights are a fun place to start.
Look forward to your progress.

So, as is my usual MO, I'm heading in the opposite direction of the trend. I have the atrocious 'non sport' 2010 bumper...

I think the IPL bumper is very nice. It flows beautifully with the hood and grill lines. But, everyone with an ounce of flare for style and appearance has one. Nothing wrong with that. All of yours look great and appear OEM to boot.

But, I don't want to have the same look. Especially since I'm getting into the G world so late. A HUGE bonus for me is that folks with an eye for good looking front ends are buying the IPLs and selling their sport bumpers at really reasonable prices.

So, thanks to a great forum member, I'm picking up his 2011 NS (2010 S) bumper. But, the front still needs some tasteful aggression. Here, at least for me, is where a splitter comes in to the picture.

I didn't want anything too dramatic. In fact, I prefer it occasionally be overlooked by the casual observer. But, something to add some edge. I've ordered the v2 front splitter from Aeroflow Dynamics (AD). Shipping ups ground. So, pics when arrives.

Now, I'm going out on a limb and picking up the V2 Skirts for the Coupe/Vert as well. I say 'a limb' as I have not found any pictures of the v2 skirts on our cars. So, I'm looking to post pictures once arrive/installed for reference for anyone interested in splitter sides from AD.

All should be here in 10 or so days and the build will be in full swing.

Picture 1: top- My current, godawful NS bumper
middle- Sport bumper
bottom- AD v2 splitter

UPDATE: Bumper arrived from Boston last week and currently resides above my art nook (see new pic). Aeroflow Dynamics Front and Side Splitters arrived tonight (12/28/15). Test fitting and getting quote for paint and install.

Obsidian Black paint on the Sport Bumper ready for install.

Knocked out the Infiniti letters delete. Cleans it up nicely.

I'll be getting rid of the ridiculous antenna erection soon. I'm see a lot of antenna/break light integrated OEM spoilers popping up online. May go that route to nix the chrome and antenna in the same mod.

Thanks. It's a most enjoyable process. One of the primary reasons I went G was the great number of available mods. I won't soon get bored.

I did land on a Gloss Black vinyl that should take care of the four, middle chrome bars of the grill (top & bottom will stay chrome). A 12"x60" sheet should do nicely. The desired effect is shown with a crudely modified pic bellow for reference.

UPDATE: Grill wrapped. Pics added.

LEDs are an absolute must on the interior. The soft amber factory bulbs are terribly tacky. For our verts we only have 4 bulbs to change (of which I am aware) in the cabin.

Picture: 1. LED left vs Stock right 2. LED cabin illumination at night 3. Both LED

UPDATE: we've got two amber bulbs in the vanity mirrors. Changed those out as well. keep in mind LEDs are bipolar. If at first they don't light, flip them.

UPDATE 2: changed out the trunk light for LED. Admittedly, I'd forgotten there was a bulb in the trunk. Who knew they could even fit one back there? Shouldn't be difficult to identify the contents of the chapstick holder of a trunk with the new bulb.

While I was back there, I swapped out the license plate bulbs (finally). The light casings needed a thorough cleaning while off.

AD shot over a picture of the v2 side splitter on a coupe today. They're ordered and shipping. I know these aren't in line with everyone's tastes. But, on an obsidian black vert, they are for what I am looking.
In my case, I want form to follow function and not to be overwhelmingly noticeable (black splitter on a black car). The wings/fins will provide a possible canvas for the accent color I choose (tbd).

Picture: Aeroflow Dynamics side splitter v2 on a grey coupe. I suspect that black on black should be much more subtle.

I'm wondering how many square feet of the Graphite 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber DINOC Flex Wrap I'll need to properly cover all of the "wood" trim.
I'm also wondering if carbon fiber is getting WAY to played out? I think it looks really, really good and that's what matters. But, maybe I should explore some other trim options? Anyone done anything other than carbon? Marble? Ebony? Black Alligator Leather (would match a third of my timepieces, probably tacky though)?

I used a brushed steel metallic Avery wrap for my interior, it came out good but the shade is so similar to the OEM washi that it's not too dramatic. IMO a black brushed steel looks pretty awesome, there's a thread or two floating around w/ that but I'm short on time to look it up.

Way to stay at it, you're getting a lot done in short order

Quick update on the v2 splitter. AD got a hold of me today. They custom fab the splitters for our cars. That said they needed measurements.

My primary concern is the bend in my skirts at the front (nearest front wheels). I'm not sure from where to start measuring. Behind the bend (my best guess)? Or from tip to tip? Anyway, we'll hopefully hammer this out tomorrow. I'll update with the results.

In the mean time here are some skirt shots and one (night shot) at the bend for reference.

Threads found and read/viewed. Thanks. I like the subtle, brushed look you've done. Also, really appreciate everyone's carbon wraps. They all look damn good.

Now, I'm still feeling like going against the trend. I won't do anything in high contrast or 'loud' color. But, something very different would be great. I'm going to have to spend time with the samples. Right now, call me crazy, I'm envisioning black alligator wrap. I like the idea of texture. But, it may be too much black on black on black. We'll see how it shakes out. I've got a nice grey ebony(wood) metallic to have a look at as well. Who knows?
