OK i need help with my build i want a q60 vert but with the 2017 look. so i want to covert the body fenders hood and front bumper and lights the back bumper i was thinking about combining bottom half of q60 bumper to a g37 ver and same with the finders since back lights can not be changed. i will put twin turbos from the new q60 and upgrade headers exhuast fuel pump and maybe bore it to 4.2l later down the road. i know the body is simply screw on and go but the biggest concern is the dash i want to put a q50 dash or a q60 dash for the new look. the nav is basically the same but the radio is different . does anyone know of any dash swapping problems ill run into and how to fix them ill also put the centter console in and take the seat heater switch off mine and design them into the new one

im 23 and from florida i custom made my dodge charger and i realized that most frames dont change just the parts on them do so basically you can change a g37 to look like a new q60 but you will need to change the two front fenders hood headlights and bumpers and maybe radiator bracket cause on some cars they hold the lights i buy cars at the auction alot and when i work on my project cars i get them salvage so i dont spend to much money on a car ill jut customize im new to customizing i usually just fix them the normal way and sell them. ive also come to realize that most wire harness are the same from 2012 and u since how every car can have heated seats steering wheel controls and a factory touch screen nave and radio. but on the g37 no touch screen radio so the wiring could be a little different and this is why im asking. now the size of the car hasn't changed so dash should fit great. i got about 13k car cost 4k to 5k at the auction which im planing to but wensday. but i dont want to bite of more then i can chew buy having to get the wire schematics and color matching the wires just so i can see what wires are missing just so i can add them. only thing is is hopefully if i did have to do this the wire only runs to the distributor that should be located under the dash in ether the front or driver seat so i dont have to run them threw out the entire car. i already priced parts come out to 4k if i get them from a salvage yard but they have a dash of a q50 which is the same dash of the q60 im just not sure if its the same length i have to check the with of both cars again. but yea please help if you can

Hopefully someone can help you out, please keep your posts in this thread rather than posting the same post all over the site. We welcome everyone around here, just need to be patient, and you've got a lot of custom plans so you may just have to do most of the digging on your own, good luck.

 

Why not just buy a 2017 Q60 and chop the top off? I guarantee that would be easier and less costly.

well i have pictures of my charger but my phone screen is broken and i pre odered the s8 plus they haven't released it yet so ill be waiting till the 21st then a few days after for them to mail it to me then hopefully i can recover my stuff from my s6 plus but if not it will have to wait my charger is in the shop my transmission is slipping from racing it i think 1st gear is scripped cause in first gear if i punch it it goes fast then throws its self in neutral. if i wait till it shift into 2nd then it lets my punch it but it slugs to get there then takes off like a demon but it truly just looks like a regular srt8 2013 nothing much of a change i bought a 5.7 put srt8 body on swapped the dash cause it was wrecked redid the front end and bought a stroker kit now its a 6.7L i mostly race it on street and at car meets it needs some work i wrapped it which is now starting to peel cause this truck scrapped my door and scraped the paper off so i think ill paint it this time. if you saw how bad the damage was when i first got it you would be proud of me lmao

 

it wont be the car will cost me 5k the parts is under 5k if i was to get a stroker its like 4400 i already have guys i work on cars with so of course with their guidance we will put the kit in and pay the machine shop to bore it ill have a 2017 body q60 plus a faster engine for around 16k rather then a $38,000 q60 then another 4,400 for stroker which it will be slower cause its a 3.0L which is a downgrade and another 15,000 to make it a soft top convertible when i rather a hard top totaling about
57,400 not including painting it and the fact the car will have some flexing
due to the fact that it wasn't designed as a convertible anything on the top break and ill go threw hell looking for the aftermarket parts cause most ppl want you to buy the whole kit all over again because the demand is low....

 

well auction for this g37 vert gets sold tomorrow i bid 4200 ill let yall know if i win it due to the fact that i had to buy two s8 plus my auction money is low damn phones came out to 1800 with the bundle but worse case is if i dont win it ill wait another two weeks by then ill have 3k extra and put it with the 5k car money i have and buy the next one on another auction date ill post pictures of how it looks from start to finish once i get one in hands

You do realize your G37 and Q50/60 is a totally different engine. you can't just go around slapping turbos on . Alteast you have big dreams
