How does the driving balance change when going from staggered OEM -> square?

These are square. Four nismo front wheels 9.5x19 +40. Tires are 255/40/19. No spacers the fitment is perfect in my opinion. Here are a couple of crappy pics.








I noticed zero difference going square. I doubt many people would. There's such a small stagger originally anyway.

 

That fit is just about as perfect as you could get IMO, wheels right at the fender edge w/ a nice tuck for the tires, now THAT is Practicality done right!

Getting ready for winter.

Got the coupe wheels wrapped in some Michelin X ice winter tires.

Also cleaned, clay bar'd and waxed them up.

Lookin spanky.

 

Very nice. I do that, too, with my winter wheels, and have been meaning to get to them soon. You beat me to it! Although truth be told, the inner lip of my duckfeet look like pooh.

I'm needing two new rear snows, and have also decided on X-Ice this time around.

 

The reviews between the X ice and the Blizakk's were so close. The tipping point for me was the 40,000 mile tread wear warranty.

 

Do you use spacers on those Coupe 18"s after the drop? I put 15mm adapters on for winter... third year coming up. Which is something else to clean pre-season.

If you do use spacer adapters, I strongly recommend buying some half-height spline-drive lug nuts, instead of using the little brass lugnuts that come with the typical set. The brass nuts tend to strip soon as you look at them.

 

Yup. I use 20mm and I already bought 20 new lug nuts for them.

Although I just used some open ended acorn lug nuts.

 

Ok, just one more thing before winter...

I installed the Cusco bar today.
I had to paint the brackets copper.



Also removed the headliner so it doesn't rub. I am thinking about adding an aftermarket liner but I'm not set on it at the moment.





If I only had a good camera these might look better.





I have the vinyl to black out the window trim. Just need to find the time to do it.

 

I found some time today to black out the trim.

I followed Blnewt's DIY. It was a huge help.







And I still need a real camera.

 

Really coming together with perfection, that copper bracket paint & the trim wrap turned out excellent.

 

I played around with my cheap iPad app again. I'm trying to decide what to do with my front grill down the road so I'm trying out some things.
