Just put in the Gtr plugs and cleaned throttle bodies while I was there. Plugs took an hr or so and tb took about 20 mins. Great diys on here for both. Shout out to who posted them.
I shopped everywhere locally for the 14mm spark plug socket. Advance, autozone, sears, Home Depot and lowes didn't have it.
PEP BOYS DID. $4
44k miles. Not bad at all, but needed step cooler for nitrous
Oem gtr plugs
(not much more than oem g37)
Paid 85$ shipped for all of them
Cannot say it's faster but engine is working more efficient and feels faster forsure
Gtr vs g37 gap

Removed z1 hfc to swap in FI resonated test pipes. Literally weigh the same (fun fact). FI BLEW ME AWAY WITH THE QUALITY. So I bought the exhaust also: it will be the 2.5 inch 18 inch resonated arriving in may!
Fast intentions resonated test pipes Z1 hfc
Also swapped z1 intake for stillen G3. Surprisingly the stillen and z1 weigh pretty much the same. I think the z1 gave me 2-5 degrees colder or so on average it was just a couple degrees different than outside temps. The stillen I noticed the filters sit closer to radiator than the z1 and maybe that's why it's around 5-10 degrees hot than outside.
New G3 intake. Used sticky 3m double sided tape to eliminate rattles from metal on metal contact. (On going process) K&n filters. Also to show how close they are to radiator. The z1 filters were not even remotely close to radiator.
To test it I thought I'd try this:
Drive for 30 miles at 65 mph on the way to install my stillen gen 3. So I got a good temp for the z1 then and got the stillen on way back. Not sure how scientific it is but just wanted to use what I already had to see if there was anything cooler about either.

Tried to switch up my exhaust from the top speed pro 1 to a universal resonated x pipe from magnaflow with pipes back to the top speed mufflers. I wish somebody was here to tell me nooooooo don't do it New universal res x pipe in place of y pipe and resonators on my top speed pro 1 exhaust. Immediately noticed more power but sounds so bad because of all the leak. I don't want to take my car back to this idiot so I will deal with till my exhaust arrives
Should of been simple enough right? Nope. Turns out I can't find a exhaust shop worth anything in my area. I have have 3 negative experiences at 3 different places so far trying to fix my current set up. I should of just left it the way it way. The guy did a terrible job and has bad exhaust leak. Immediately called FI to get an exhaust asap. Shouldn't have to worry now. I'll update with sound clips when it's installed

Nice updates, too bad about the exhaust shop experiences though. It can be tough to find good ones sometimes, I've had a few strikes & gutters in that area through the years

thanks. Yes I've had the worst luck with exhaust. Hopefully when I install the new exhaust the curse will be over lol
Glad to see you updating your progress, did you find out your CEL code(s)?
And what happened w/ your FI exhaust (between coughs)??
No resolution with the codes. I'm thinking it's either bad oxygen sensors, or the poor exhaust I have under the car with extreme leak. Also curious if there is a fuse or something blew when I swapped my high flow cars for test pipes causing the codes. I couldn't get my old o2 sensors off so I just didn't run any for a couple days till they came in.
As far as fast intentions goes, nothing but good things except the wait! Super long wait, but can't say they didn't tell me so lol. Hopefully it will ship soon, it's been a long 12 weeks so far.
-New exhaust is to be delivered on may 2 (Tuesday) couldn't be more excited!!!!! (Fast intentions 2.5 inch 18 inch resonators)
-Also going to be installing some high heat rated sound deading panels under the car along the metal that goes right next to the exhaust. I know that your so post to put the panels inside the car but hey who wants to do that?
- Anything rated to 1500 degrees should be good. Right?
- I want it to be loud OUTSIDE ( I know selfish me), but looking to reduce vibrations and cabin drone also.
I have a db meter (amazon) and after I get the exhaust on for a week or 2 I'm going to gather readings over the rpm range. Repeat test with sound deading material on and post results!!
Finally got new exhaust on. Couldn't be happier. No rasp at all with resonated test pipes and the 18 inch resonators. Super happy with the install it was very easy (wish I had a lift). The idle is so deep, sounds great.
Glad I went 2.5 inch. Entire 2.5 inch setup weighs 65lbs per fast intentions. Oem exhaust is roughly the same, around 65 as well so no significant weight change here.
Still waiting on some time to do valve body then it's off to z1 for nitrous tune. Hoping to make 400/350 wheel with 100 shot nitrous and a retune off bottle should be around 335/275 wheel.
